Location: Aimargues (30 min from Montpellier)

Via the DIB & Financials Champion responsibilities, this role is a transversal position within the team, also working as a team with the Logistic buyer and the Data & Governance specialist.

The role will be strongly connected to a broad range of stakeholders such as General Managers, S&F directors, Marketing director, Sales director, Chief Engineers, Industrial Engineers, Technical managers & Maintenance Managers, Plant managers.

Key stakeholders also include MGS Commercial (Global & Europe & Local), Global Indirect transformation lead, PNE Sourcing, Finance (Global, Regional & Local),

Within Commercial Europe, the role works with Commercial Operations, Sourcing & Sustainability to assure adherence to specifications and continuity of supply when needed.

For external, this role is linked to European Indirect supplier’s base.

What are we looking for?

  • Master’s Degree preferably in business or finance related disciplines.

  • Knowledge in Indirect sourcing/operations.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent analytical skills and issue identification with flexible thinking to adapt to changing environment.

  • Looking for a versatile talent with ambition to grow a career in Procurement at Mars/Royal Canin.

What will be your key responsibilities?

The Europe Commercial Indirect Sourcing Lead will:

Lead Indirect Strategic Transformation – Indirect categories (excluding Logistics)

  • Deliver best in class strategic recommendations (business case) to support the Indirect Transformation in Europe in line with the Global RC Indirect strategy, based on the opportunity and value to move to MGS Commercial and the assurance this move will answer Royal Canin business needs
  • Create strong stakeholder engagement with GMs, CFOs, Plant Directors, engineers and other functional stakeholders to manage changes from the transformation strategy, influence & engage stakeholders in the process, be the voice of Royal Canin with MGS associates (and vice versa), align business needs, the roadmap and deploy according to plan, with 80% of indirect categories to be managed by MGS towards 2025
  • Strong connection also required with RC Global Indirect, other RC Indirect regional leads to leverage best practices during the transformation.
  • Strong collaboration with MGS Commercial (Local, Regional & Global) to co create the transformation roadmap, connected with Categories Sourcing Strategies (MSSM), including the compliance to indirect Governance responsibility.
  • When recommendations are approved, the EU commercial indirect sourcing lead is responsible to deploy the implementation plans. Change management will be critical success factor for this position.
  • This role will ensure the dynamics and strategic insights of the region are reflected in MGS Commercial MSSMs, supporting the analysis of market trends , deeply understanding of the supplier base and category to effectively deliver a sustainable recommendation of transferring End to End sourcing responsibilities to MGS.

Maximize Value Contribution: ad hoc projects

  • This role will highlight opportunities and risks in scope and be responsible to deploy action plans to maximize short & long-term opportunities, minimize risks, and deliver savings projects (Do it Best) whilst securing Royal Canin growth.

Be the Do It Best Champion & Financials insights for Indirect Europe

  • This role will have a transversal position in the team, championing Do It Best initiatives and consolidating all Indirects DIB initiatives & pipeline. This role will also be responsible for financial data interpretation to deliver insights, supported by the Data specialist, to business stakeholders.
