Business operations are the functions that support the entire company. Fundamentally, the primary role of BizOps are:

  • to ensure that Loft budgets and spends money in a prudent and forecast-able way
  • to execute our business compliantly and make sure that we stay within an acceptable level of business risk
  • keep overall company operations smooth so that employees can focus on their jobs

Engineering

Loft Orbital

The Engineering group at Loft is comprised of all of the technical activities at the company.

  • Flight Products and Ground Products largely focus on the development of recurring products that are used on each Loft mission.

  • Ultimately, Satellite Programs is the end-customer of the product teams. The Program team takes flight-ready products and integrates them into a spacecraft.

  • The Integration Team sits between the Product and Program teams. Integration is charged with ensuring that Loft software products going to AIT are fully tested and validated. Integration team will also manage Loft’s test benches for all engineers to use and oversee the development of customer-specific software.

Business Development

Loft Orbital
  • Brings potential customers into Loft’s sales pipeline and is in charge of closing them and signing contracts.

  • Technical and engineering support of the sales process. Support of proposals, studies, and overall pre-launch customer technical interactions.

  • Cradle-to-grave support of the business relationship with a customer. Supports entire customer relationship - i.e. is not just focused on a single mission in the event we are flying multiple payloads for a single customer.
