Mission

⚠️ This is an atypical position.

We are looking for a Finance Manager to have a key role in the company, which is not a management role.

We are looking for someone who can work with external accountants & providers, and automate as much as possible Finance processes.

The successful candidate can potentially lead our Operations team depending on skills & business savviness.

Your mission as the Finance Manager for lempire is to establish, streamline, and manage our financial operations.

You'll be responsible for maintaining fiscal health and stability, as well as enabling efficient growth and scale, driving the creation and optimization of our financial systems and processes.

Key Results

Within 3 months, you will:

- Review all primary financial processes (order to cash, procure to pay) and establish a strategic plan for finance activities

- Has taken over reporting responsibilities: ARR and P&L report

- Set up a closing process with monthly closing in collaboration with our external accountant & CFO partner

- Manage relationships with our accountant, tax credit experts, and our legal partners at Bold

- Ensure a complete handover with our external part-time CFO

- Activate quick wins to optimize expenses

- Improve the quality and understanding of our financials & business performance in collaboration with our data team

Within 12 months, you will:

- Completely own the budgeting activity (creation & monitoring)

- Manage Pony's financial integration (company we acquired in 2022)

- Fully manage all aspects of finance: from accounting (with external accountant support), corporate, and legal

- Optimize payment processing fees & collaborate with our Tech team on pricing integrations & fraud prevention measures. You'll be potentially involved in the Billing project as a Project Manager, working with Tech

- Reconcile MRR and Cash with Revenues yearly

- Make proactive proposals to improve the cost structure

- Automate processes wherever possible to keep the Finance team lean

- Assist on topics such as M&A or incentive plans for key individuals

Profile

  • 5+ years of Experience, ideally experience in Transaction Services and/ or in a fast-growing company
  • Detail-oriented, highly analytical & rigorous
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Skilled in SQL is mandatory
  • Strong automation skills (experience setting up financial tools)
  • Good understanding of finance and accounting principles
  • Demonstrated experience in Finance Ops / HR Ops with a strong ability to automate and streamline processes
  • A proactive, autonomous individual with excellent organizational skills
