We’re transforming not only the insurance experience for our partners and their customers, but also the way we work internally. We foster a culture of autonomy, ownership, and impact, supported by modern tools, AI, and data. Our People and Finance teams work hand in hand to create an environment where everyone can thrive, grow, and experiment.
🚀 About the Team
You’ll join our Group Finance / FP&A team, at the heart of strategic decision-making. The team’s mission is to:
- Provide clear, forward-looking financial insights to Executive Management and operational leaders.
- Ensure robust, consistent financial steering across multiple entities and geographies.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and professionalization of our controlling and planning processes.
As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you will report directly to the Chief FP&A and work closely with Accounting, Cash, Group Finance, and business leaders. This is a highly visible role with exposure to C‑level stakeholders and cross-functional projects.
🎯 Your Mission
Your mission is to provide reliable, insightful, and actionable financial analysis across Wakam’s French perimeter and Group Finance scope. You will be a key contributor to monthly reporting, quarterly closings, budgets, and forecasts, with a particular focus on multi-entity consolidation and overheads management.
Multi-Entity Consolidation
You will:
- Centralize, review, and consolidate financial data from various entities (P&L, operational KPIs).
- Ensure consistency of management practices and chart of accounts across entities, including intragroup rebilling alignment.
- Produce consolidated analyses (margins, profitability, costs by entity / business line, etc.) and propose optimization levers in collaboration with the FP&A team.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data collection and financial reporting processes to enhance quality, speed, and reliability.
Overheads Management
In close collaboration with another overheads controller, you will:
- Set up, monitor, and analyze overheads reports (by nature, by department, by cost centre).
- Build and challenge the budgets of operational and support functions, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategy.
- Identify variances vs. budget / forecast, propose corrective action plans, and monitor their implementation with stakeholders.
- Actively contribute to cost optimization, focusing on spend efficiency and tracking achieved savings.
Continuous Improvement & Tools
You will help professionalize and scale the controlling function by:
- Participating in the optimization of reporting, closing, and planning processes.
- Making the best possible use of our tools (Sage, Pigment, etc.) to automate reporting, improve data reliability, and streamline work.
- Proposing and implementing new performance indicators that are relevant to our business and strategy.
🧠 What You Bring
You bring a strong financial and analytical toolkit, ideally in a multi-entity or group context:
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, controlling, or similar roles, preferably at group or multi-entity level.
- Solid experience with P&L analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proven ability to consolidate and interpret complex financial data, turning it into clear insights and recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong command of financial tools and systems.
- Experience with Sage and/or Pigment is a plus.
- Experience in the insurance sector is an advantage, but not mandatory.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); other European languages are a plus.
✨ Who You Are
Beyond your technical skills, you are a trusted business partner and a strong communicator:
- You have exceptional analytical and synthesis skills, and can make complex financial topics understandable for non‑finance stakeholders.
- You are comfortable challenging management and C‑level stakeholders constructively, backing your views with data and insight.
- You are autonomous, structured, and reliable, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment.
- You are curious and proactive, always looking for ways to improve processes, tools, and collaboration.
- You enjoy working in cross-functional, multicultural teams and value transparency and open feedback.
✨ AI
At Wakam, AI and automation are transforming the finance and insurance experience.
For this role, we’re looking for teammates who are eager to use AI tools to:
- Streamline recurring tasks such as data consolidation, variance comments, and management presentations.
- Automate and industrialize reporting and forecasting workflows.
- Enrich analysis and decision-making through smarter data exploration, scenario modelling, and benchmarking.
You don’t need to be a technical expert—what matters most is your adaptability, curiosity, and willingness to learn. We will support your upskilling on AI and digital tools, so you can focus your time on high-value analysis and help build the transparent, high-impact finance function of tomorrow.
