Descriptif du poste

The Director of Quality, Global, will lead the development and execution of a high-performance quality strategy that underpins the delivery of premium products across all operations.

In this pivotal role, the Director will ensure that quality is embedded at every stage of the value chain—from supplier to customer—by driving best-in-class practices, rigorous standards, and a culture of continuous improvement. With a strong focus on measurable outcomes, the Director will define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure excellence in product quality, reliability, and compliance. Their leadership will inspire cross-functional teams to exceed expectations, uphold brand integrity, and reinforce the company’s position as a benchmark for quality in its industry.

Crucially, this role will elevate the Quality function beyond its traditional focus on industrial operations, adopting a holistic approach that integrates quality principles across the entire value chain—including R&D, product development, and customer experience—ensuring that quality becomes a broader strategic driver of innovation, efficiency, and long-term business value.

Responsibilities

Quality Strategy & Execution

  • Define and lead the global quality strategy to ensure consistent delivery of premium, high-performance products.
  • Establish and track measurable KPIs (e.g., First Pass Yield, Customer Complaint Rate, Cost of Poor Quality, Supplier PPM) to drive accountability and continuous improvement across all operations.
  • Develop and enforce world-class quality standards, policies, and procedures based on industry benchmarks, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive year-over-year improvements in quality performance through structured improvement plans and cultural transformation initiatives.

Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Oversee quality performance across the product lifecycle—from design validation to field performance—ensuring zero-defect delivery and rapid issue resolution.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO standards (including ISO 9001), CE certification, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Take ownership of product safety, ensuring robust processes and accountability across all functions.
  • Utilize field data and warranty analytics to identify systemic issues and implement corrective actions with measurable impact on product reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Industrialization, Manufacturing, and R&D to embed quality into design and production processes, ensuring alignment with premium product standards.
  • Continuously evolve the Quality Management System (QMS) to reflect best-in-class practices, integrate SPDM and knowledge management, and support business scalability.
  • Lead crisis management for quality issues, including product recalls, with structured response plans and stakeholder communication.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Lead the development of quality dashboards and reporting systems to provide real-time visibility into performance metrics and trends.
  • Leverage CRM and business intelligence tools to monitor quality-related activities, support decision-making, and drive proactive risk management.

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Inspire and lead a global quality team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Working with HR and Education Divisions, develop and implement structured training, certification, and onboarding programs to elevate technical capabilities and ensure consistent execution of quality practices.
  • Manage and develop multi-site teams, ensuring alignment and consistency across regions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Brand Representation

  • Act as the voice of Quality in strategic discussions with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and brand positioning.
  • Represent the company in key customer engagements, audits, and industry forums, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to quality leadership.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through proactive engagement, responsiveness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
