Kyriba is seeking a Database Administrator to join our team of more than 200 engineers working together to bring innovative solutions to Kyriba clients around the globe. We are a team of passionate people motivated by agility, innovation and continuous improvement.

Onboarded to the Service Excellence, Reliability & Operations team, you will join a transversal team across Engineering, Product & Operations,responsible for the global reliability of Kyriba’s platforms. You will be responsible for planning, executing, following and reporting on cross-functional improvements. In particular, you will follow from initial design to full completion. The successful candidate will be able to understand complex technical concepts, identify stakeholders, and communicate progress of projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Functional DBA, able to understand and assist the Engineering & Business teams
  • Assist with, support, and maintain on-prem and AWS Oracle DB infrastructure activities
  • Administer Oracle RAC clusters in vSphere, and RDS on AWS
  • Design, build, and support SQL queries and statements as needed
  • Optimize SQL code and queries for production use and development activities
  • Support application development teams with SQL tuning and code write optimization
  • Investigate & support the initial migration to sharding tables on Oracle
  • Initial scope of the job will be on data pruning / purge ; and Oracle database partionning

    • Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field.
  • English fluency is required, both in written and oral form. Fluency in French is a plus.
  • Experience with specific project management tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • 4+ years Oracle DB experience (11g, 12c, 19c)
  • 4+ years Oracle partitioning, sharding
  • 2+ years PostgreSQL DB experience (v11, 13+)
  • 2+ years SQL performance tuning
  • 2+ years SQL, PL/SQL and language writing
  • 2+ years with DB tooling (EX: SQL*Plus, TOAD, EM, etc.)
  • 1+ years in AWS and RDS
  • Familiarity with CDC concepts and management
  • Familiarity with AWS database offerings (MSK, RDS, marketplace, etc.)

    • Nice to have:

  • Oracle ASM, Dataguard, Multitenant
  • MongoDB experience
