Overview

This is a 12 month Fixed term contract We’re Kingfisher, A team made up of over 74,000 passionate people who bring Kingfisher - and all our other brands: B&Q, Screwfix, Brico Depot, Castorama and Koctas - to life. A brand new role which will see you play a lead role in operationalising Kingfisher’s talent management strategy with the aim of building strong, deep and diverse talent pipelines into senior leadership roles.
What’s the job?

  • Build strong relationships across the banner HR and talent teams to help establish a community of best practice
  • Create best practise talent tools and frameworks that help us to consistently identify talent across the Kingfisher group
  • Ensure diversity in succession plans, gender diversity and beyond, and is accountable for measuring and reporting on progress.
  • Facilitate talent mobility to support building breadth and rounded capability and this year will be accountable for developing the talent mobility strategy and plan.
  • Identify gaps in long term succession pipelines, and build plans to mitigate these
  • Regular reporting and presentation of progress to key stakeholders including the Group Executive. Oversees the setting, tracking and reporting of key talent, diversity and talent metrics.
  • Bring focus on continual improvement of talent methodology, build rigour and consistency where appropriate and simplify and build ‘fit for purpose’ solutions. These should support active, forward looking conversations between line managers and colleagues.
  • Support the development of a talent mobility strategy, that facilitates movement of internal talent across Kingfisher
What you’ll bring
  • Experience of working cross borders, in an international context and in a matrix organisation. Kingfisher has a decentralised operating model so the role holder needs to be very comfortable at influencing outcomes without direct control and should be able to overcome resistance and deal with ambiguity
  • Deep knowledge on best talent practice and frameworks
  • Experience in building strong, deep and diverse leadership talent pipelines
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to create insight and conclusions from data
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at any one time
  • Build successful partner relationships, engaging confidently with leaders and colleagues across the business and the People Function
  • Comfortable taking the initiative and navigating ambiguity
  • Experience of successfully influencing and working with senior leaders, building relationships that promote trust and confidence
  • Track record of delivering in a fast-paced organisation - focusing on business outcomes rather than process
