Overview

Kingfisher Sourcing Eastern Europe Sp. z o.o. is a buying office of the Kingfisher Group. Due to the dynamic development we are looking for candidates to join our team as: Junior Sourcing Quality Engineer
What’s the job?

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

In assigned categories, manage factory assessment and new product development process from selection to Gold Seal approval including product qualification, ensuring legal, specification and timing requirements are met.

Support the management of production control programs by approved 3rd party service providers, including DUPRO, FRI and Manufacturing Testing (MT).

Identify and implement product re-engineering and factory improvement opportunities to drive sustainable CPR and operational efficiencies whilst improving overall product quality.

  • Manage the factory qualification process to ensure that new factories meet Kingfisher’s quality requirements.
  • Manage the new product introduction process from the selection stage, working with Product Sourcing Managers (PSMs), Product Quality Managers(PQMs), Production Engineers and vendor factory personnel.
  • Ensure product specifications are understood and agreed with factory, verify Silver Seal samples and provided to PQ Teams for their approval, verify and approve Gold Seal samples and validate first production runs.
  • Manage the product qualification process using both internal resources and external test laboratories to ensure all products and associated packaging and IMs meet specification and quality, legal and safety requirements in all countries in which the products are to be sold.
  • Supervise on-going 3rd party product inspection program including DUPRO, FRI and Manufacturing Testing.
  • Support the investigation of any returns, reviews or other quality issues relating to products originating from within the Buying / Sourcing Office responsibilities.
  • Support new and existing product redevelopment programs to identify opportunities to (re)engineer value and quality into our products.


What you’ll bring

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Solid technical skills and background.
  • High command of English language (proficiency) written and spoken
  • Strong time and project management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong PC skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
