What’s the job?
  • Own the financial analysis to ensure the best decision making for key investment activities. This includes ownership of the ATG Decomposition Programme model
  • Make Group Tech costs (plans and actuals) visible and transparent to key stakeholders in a clear, “non-financial” manner to identify actions to drive opportunities and mitigate risks and challenge business assumptions in forecasting and planning to improve the understanding of IT cost across Kingfisher
  • Work with Group Tech teams to improve Forecasting accuracy
  • Create relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure they become part of the leadership team for the department while always positively representing the finance team within the wider Kingfisher Group Tech business
  • Fully understand in flight and future Group Tech projects to ensure spend on projects is correctly reported and forecasted
  • Provide financial analysis and financial accounting teams with the information required to prepare the monthly accounts on a timely basis
  • Work closely with the financial analysts to provide a seamless link between the Kingfisher Group Tech Finance team and the Kingfisher Group Tech decision makers
  • Preparation of business cases for Group Tech projects and linking these through to budgets and forecasts as well as post investment reviews
  • Take a full and active part in improvement projects during a time of considerable change within Kingfisher
What you’ll bring

  • Advanced knowledge in the area of accounting/finance (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Significant business-facing or commercial finance experience working in a business partnering background
  • Comfortable building relationships with senior stakeholders and challenging where appropriate
  • Dynamic and forward thinking individual with the ability to analyse complex data with sound rationale and intellectual rigour
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills with the ability to work at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong people management experience especially including managing stakeholders without a direct reporting line
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to following through to completion
  • Strong ability to interpret financial information and deploy it effectively across the organisation
  • Proactive approach to driving efficiencies and improvements across teams with a demonstrable history of change management
  • Positive attitude, paired with a strong analytical approach with the ability to work competently under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Confident presenting data to small and large groups of people
  • Able to work with ambiguity & be comfortable with change
  • Experience working in a matrix environment is desirable
