About the team

Led by Boris, Immortal Game’s Data Team is composed of data analytics engineers, data analysts and AI engineers. We take care of building and maintaining the data pipeline using modern cloud-based tools. On the Analytics branch we define and monitor company KPIs and analyze player and games data to drive new features and improve our chess platform. The AI branch deploys ML models for cheat detection, recommendation systems and other coming applications like our Chess Academy.

Responsibilities 👇

As part of our Data Science Team your missions will be to:

• Work closely with game developers and players to understand how hacks and cheats attack the game.
• Read state-of-the-art research articles on online gaming cheat detection and be able to communicate their key ideas and results.
• Prototype different ML models that improve our baselines.
• Design, implement and test improvements to existing ML models e.g. by adding new features or modifying NN architecture.
• Visualize, interpret and communicate analytical results.
• Work with the core development teams to deploy ML models seamlessly as part of production system.

Tech house : PostgreSQL, DBT, Python, Tensorflow, GCP, Tableau / Looker

💼 What we are looking for

• Last year of a Master’s Degree (computer science, applied maths or data science) with strong IT skills
• Proficiency in Python (esp. pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn etc.)
• Experience with Tensorflow
• Autonomous and team player, detail-oriented
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Working proficiency in French

• Strong in SQL
• Personal projects with code sharing / Kaggle experience
