Descriptif du poste

  • Able and willing to own and drive all aspects of the software engineering function, across all people, process and technology areas
  • Possesses the technical experience and know how to to guide the design, build and maintain a complex base platform, an extensive set of functional components and high featured business modules/applications
  • Owns the technology vision and technical roadmap, ensuring strong alignment to the overall business strategy and product roadmap
  • Able and willing to build, recruit and lead a 50 person engineering team comprising of a mix of technology architects, team leaders, junior and senior software engineers, scrum masters, test and automation engineers, devops and operations personnel
  • Experienced in implementing end to end software development lifecycle processes, tools and metrics to drive consistent and high quality results
  • Member of the senior leadership team, strategic thinker, results driven and builds strong relationships with other managers and is trusted and well respected by engineers

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Execution & delivery
  • Directs and manages all technology and design activities
  • Sets design and coding guidelines and performs reviews as necessary
  • Works through ambiguity and facilitates cross-team decision-making to impact company goals based on data
  • Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and write some code, and get involved in critical customer fires, troubleshoot and problem solve tough problems
  • Capacity planning, team composition, resource assignments

TECH ROADMAP & PLANNING

  • Participate in strategic technological planning by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies
  • Good sense of product technology data trade-offs and buy build integrate decisions
  • Works with CTO to create and maintain overall technology roadmap & long term plan

LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT

  • Lead multiple teams of front-end and back-end developers
  • Mentor all development resources and works to ensure priorities are clear, development standards are adhered to and testing is conducted.
  • Communicate status effectively and make presentations from time to time to the executive team

Profil recherché

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant STEM degree, Masters preferred
  • A minimum of 10+ years of progressive responsibilities in software development with all round experience in software development life cycle best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, QA, Database architecture, build processes, testing, deployment, and related operational processes
  • At least 4+ years managing Agile software development teams and iterative development process
  • Deep knowledge and expertise in architecting, designing, building, and operating SaaS platforms using microservices
  • Experience with mobile application development and deployment
  • Experience managing both onsite and remote development teams (internal or external) with 20+ members
