Job description

As a Product Designer (UX), you’ll join the product team (2 product managers, 4 developers) to imagine, define, and ship an amazing product. You’ll also work directly with the Creation team (1 art director and a UI/graphic designer) to ensure solutions are aligned with our visual and brand identity.

At Heuritech you will be one of the go-to-persons for advocating valuable user experiences. You will justify design decisions through user needs, technology constraints, our brand values and company objectives.

If you’re eager to learn by doing, this is a role for you. You’ll make a difference from day one, all while learning new skills and evolving in product design.

🔍 Work with Product Managers to understand customer needs

  • Participate in user research (shadowing sessions, watching user session recordings, etc.) to identify design problems and opportunities
  • Prepare prototypes and run user tests with the product team when needed
  • Be curious about our customers (Fashion industry), the SaaS industry, our competitors and our business

✍️ Design and improve our interfaces

  • Imagine the simplest user experience for fashion professionals (think user scenarios first, pixels last)
  • Find creative UX/UI solutions that are intuitive, useful, but also help us stand out in a very picky industry (Fashion professionals are known to appreciate beautiful products with elegant visuals)
  • Nourish UI designer with relevant inspiration (other business SaaS, fashion industry solutions, etc) and collaborate in the creation of new visual components when required
  • Alongside the UI designer, maintain our design system for maximum efficiency during ideation, prototyping, and development

🚀 Prepare design specifications

  • Make sure final designs are ready and easily accessible before each sprint starts
  • Be detailed-oriented and design all use cases (edge & error cases, etc.)
  • When needed, propose detailed interactions and mockups (comments, animations, etc.)
  • Work hand-in-hand with developers to ship features during the sprint (QA if necessary)

💡 Participate in our “Design committee” to advocate a strong design culture

  • Nourish the company with a design mindset
  • Propose best practices for SaaS design

Preferred experience

  • Previous experience in Product design (UX/UI), preferably working on SaaS projects (freelance or personal projects also count!)
  • Strong UX focus (interest in psychology, human behavior is a plus)
  • A sharp eye for clean and elegant visuals (you may not have to design every visual yourself, but you must be able to critique it!)
  • Basic notions of design systems
  • Experience with interface design and prototyping software (Figma is a big plus)
  • A portfolio featuring examples of previous design projects (any freelance or personal projects also count!)
  • Good communication skills (professional English is important)

  • Lots of empathy for users and colleagues
  • Strong product culture — you’re curious about the SaaS industry best practices, and always tuned into new and successful products
  • You’re a product thinker, you understand long-term client results are more important than your personal preferences
  • You’re passionate about AI and/or the Fashion industry
