Job Summary

The Global Growth team is looking for a candidate for the position of Director Global Growth.

  • S/He is responsible for the amplification of an accountable Growth practice and discipline globally in all offices
  • S/He is responsible for articulating the New Business strategy and executing it
  • S/He leads international (global/ regional/ multi-local) pitches as well as works in conjunction with Global Client Leads to identify and develop new growth opportunities within existing client portfolio

Mission & Responsibilities

New Business & Organic Growth Practice Management:

  • Support the build of the Global New Business and Organic Growth Plan with the SVP Global Growth
  • Lead New Business opportunities identification process in collaboration with client teams
  • Develop and implement pitch best practice (discipline and process)
  • Continually improve the global agency credentials
  • Establish understanding of commercial potential for all New Business prospects and targets
  • Follow up of internal reporting and set New Business Revenue/Billing targets
  • Meet potential prospects and present Havas capabilities to develop opportunities
  • Ensure that a sustainable value proposition is developed for prospecting clients
  • Develop relationships with industry stakeholders – consultants, RECMA/Convergence, financial markets, etc.

Global Pitch Leadership:

  • Lead and/or support Global Pitch process for Global / multi-country clients
  • Define the overall pitch strategy and theme
  • Leadership of all elements/people involved in the pitch process including bringing together all the various aspects of the RFI and RFP proposal (MSA, remuneration, staffing, organization)

Support To Local Growth Activities:

  • Work with local Growth teams to improve, enhance and support local New Business activities, efforts and individual pitches
  • Support in developing and executing local New Business prospecting and organic growth plans

Team Management:

  • Manage a team of new business managers and coordinators
  • Challenge, develop and empower the team

Education & Language:

  • University degree in Business, Marketing or Advertising (MBA preferred)
  • Languages: English (Fluent – written & spoken)

Soft Skills & Competencies:  

  • Business strategy
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Customer oriented
  • Ability to engage one on one with C-suite level clients
  • People management
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage resources to complete project goals and objectives
  • Strong research and analysis and numerical skills

Technical Skills:

  • Contact management software
  • Prospecting databases and new business solutions (i.e. InTouch)
  • Knowledge of media planning tools
  • Microsoft Office software - in particular PowerPoint skills must be strong
  • Adobe Suite software preferred, but not essential
