As a Data Engineering intern, you will be part of the Data Team to deliver the best data infrastructure to support Groover’s growth. Reporting to our Staff Data Engineer, you will be helping to build our Data Warehouse and interacting with all other teams to scale our analytics infrastructure. You will be instrumental in creating the best analytics infrastructure to support Groover’s growth.

Missions

• Improve our data warehouse infrastructure and data models. Our Data warehouse is the main source of decision-making at Groover, it needs to be robust, available at all times, and centralize all needed data while enforcing our in-house data model.

• Bring new data sources in our data ecosystem. We constantly seek to add new data sources in our infrastructure so we can improve our user experience or make better analysis. You will have to extract data from various APIs and tools, store it efficiently and make it usable for further purposes.

• Fuel informed decision-making. Our data warehouse is evolving to meet everyone’s need at Groover. You will contribute to building a scalable and efficient data analysis ecosystem.

• In your day-to-day work, you will:

  1. Enhance our analytics system by adding or updating models in our dbt environment

  2. Replicate data sources into our data warehouse with AWS DMS and Terraform

  3. Create ETL processes with Python and Airflow to enrich our data sources

• You’ll be the main owner for all the features you create. It means that you will be the main point of contact for any questions regarding your work and you will have to maintain and make evolve your features.

• Foster our data-driven culture: A music company building state of the art data infrastructure is putting us ahead of our competition. You will be an ambassador of that culture within the company.

• You have a genuine interest for data and its potential to deliver impact within the music industry. Data is a field evolving rapidly and being interested in its technical applications linked to our domain is needed.

• You are a fundamentally curious and communicative person. The data team has links projects with all teams within the company. Good communication skills and willingness to dive into other’s needs are a must.

• You have a learner mindset and are willing to adapt to new technologies. Our data stack is heavy and state of the art tool are evolving really fast. We do not expect you to be familiar with all our tools however you must be driven by the desire to learn and grow within our evolving scope

• You can communicate in English flawlessly, all written communication at Groover are in English and we have an international team.

• You are finishing a master degree in STEM or a CS related field and are willing to start full-time position afterwards
