About the Transaction Services Team

The Transaction Services team supports investors and corporates through the entire lifecycle of an M&A transaction by providing independent, data-driven financial due diligence insights. Working alongside FTI Consulting’s industry experts, our team enables clients to assess the risks and opportunities of an M&A transaction and translate them into valuation impacts and contractual safeguards, delivering a comprehensive, decision-ready view that strengthens our clients’ position throughout the deal process.

The team sits as part of our Corporate Finance & Restructuring (CF&R) segment that supports companies and investors through turnaround, transformation, and transaction situations. The Paris CF&R practice is one of the firm’s key growth pillars in Europe.

Recent Engagements

  • Assisting a private investment group through M&A due diligence and post-merger integration, coordinating with FTI experts across strategy, operations, and finance

  • Helping an industrial group design a cross-functional carve-out analysis, preparing stand-alone financials, evaluating stranded costs, TSAs and future cost structure, and building Day-1 readiness plans

  • Advising a global tech company in defining and negotiating the financial clauses of an SPA, and further supporting in the post-transaction dispute resolution

  • Supporting numerous Private Equity funds on buy-side and sell-side due diligences as well as transaction value analyses

What You Will Do

As a Consultant, you will work both on client sites and from our Paris 16ème office. Typical assignments include:

  • Analyzing historical and forecast financial/accounting statements and related KPI reports

  • Conducting financial due diligence analyses to identify key risks, assess quality of earnings, cash flow and working capital dynamics

  • Liaising with cross-functional Corporate Finance teams (Business Transformation, Operations) and external parties (clients/investors, M&A IB advisors, law firms, lenders) to coordinate due diligence inputs

  • Preparing carve outs and separation analyses

  • Drafting structured report sections summarizing due diligence findings and actionable insights for clients

  • Supporting SPA negotiations, helping define contractual protections, purchase price adjustment mechanisms, and financial clauses

  • Contributing to internal projects and initiatives (e.g. RFP responses, preparation of business development materials, market intelligence and surveys, design of internal tools to support ongoing optimization of our deliverables)


Profil recherché

What We Look For

  • 1-3 years of experience in transaction services, audit, corporate finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), private equity, or investment banking (incl. internships)

  • Master’s degree from leading “Grandes Ecoles” in business or engineering (or an equivalent university degree in finance) with outstanding academic record. Graduates from leading international institutions may also be considered

  • Extra points for DSCG (or other internationally recognized equivalents) / CFA Level I or II

  • Strong analytical skills in financial data analysis and modelling

  • Curiosity, analytical rigor, proactivity, teamwork, and clear structured communication skills, with a client-service mindset

  • Fully proficient in French (C1) and English (C1), both in daily work and within an international environment
