Descriptif du poste

Join a fast-growing company with a purpose! At Fastned you will actively contribute to accelerating the transition to electric mobility. Together with over 250 colleagues (more than 40 nationalities) across 9+ countries, we have big plans: we are building a Europe-wide network of 1,000 beautiful fast-charging stations where electric drivers can charge their cars with energy from the sun and wind. We have recently been voted best charging network in the UK, France and the Netherlands, a testimony to our drive to offer the best charging experience to EV drivers!

Your role

Join our dynamic Public Affairs team as a Junior Officer and play a pivotal role in shaping European Union policies critical to the rollout of fast charging infrastructure across the continent. Working closely with the Public Affairs Director, you will engage with 'Charge Up Europe', various associations, and key EU departments to advocate for policies that support and accelerate the deployment of fast charging solutions. Your contributions will help ensure that Fastned and the broader electric vehicle fast charging industry operate within an optimal policy framework, amidst the EU's simultaneous development of impactful policies and regulations. This role is a unique opportunity to influence the future of sustainable transportation in Europe.

As Fastned’s business continues to expand, the role of Public Affairs Junior Officer involves supporting the Public Affairs Director in navigating and influencing the dynamic EU policy landscape. This position requires adaptability and a proactive approach to assist in shaping our policy agenda. You will play a supportive role in ensuring that Fastned’s perspectives are represented in Brussels. Additionally, you will aid and inspire team members in advocating for our positions at local levels. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will help interpret and convey the implications of policy developments for our business. This role is ideal for those looking to contribute to a team while developing expertise in public affairs within a rapidly evolving industry.

What does the role entail in practice?

  • You will support the EU policy making process, aiding in creating favorable conditions to accelerate the deployment of fast charging infrastructure.

  • You will assist in developing strategies aligned with Fastned’s priorities, collaborating closely with the right internal teams and connecting with external organizations and individuals.

  • While not the primary spokesperson, you will help strengthen Fastned's presence in Brussels and support our positioning as a thought leader on key EU policy topics relevant to Fastned’s mission and goals.

  • You will contribute to the growth of Fastned’s business across Europe by supporting initiatives and projects within the public affairs team.

  • You will maintain an informed understanding of various EU policy processes and support Fastned’s representation in relevant working groups and policy development initiatives.

  • As a collaborative member of the Public Affairs team, you are eager to assist in other areas as needed, demonstrating flexibility and team spirit.
