In the context of our exponential growth, we are strengthening our internal engineering team and opening a Middle Backend Software Engineer position in our Data Squad.

About the Data Squad

The Data Squad transforms communication data into actionable insights. We collect and process information from calls, emails, and messages, delivering it in raw or enriched formats. Clients can customize data processing to fit their needs, ensuring flexibility and precision. With seamless reporting and access to key metrics, we help businesses make informed decisions and improve efficiency.

As part of the Data Squad, you will:

- Design, build, and optimize back-end services for data gathering, processing, and delivery.

- Ensure high-quality engineering practices with thorough test coverage, robust metrics, alerts, and clear documentation.

- Define and maintain service contracts to ensure seamless communication between systems.

- Work closely with the product team to align technical solutions with customer needs.

Technical Stack:

- Languages: Java, Kotlin

- Framework: Spring Boot

- Database: PostgreSQL

- Message Broker: RabbitMQ

- Caching: Redis

- Containerization: Docker

The team currently consists of:

- 3 QA engineers

- 5 backend developers

- 2 frontend engineers (shared between two teams)

- 1 team lead

What We’re Looking For:

- 3+ years in software development within product-focused companies, with at least 2+ years working extensively in Kotlin (preferred) or Java.

- Experience working with Spring Boot.

- Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).

- Experience working with ClickHouse is a plus.

- Experience in designing and implementing effective distributed systems. Ability to make architectural decisions and evaluate their impact on system performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Strong autonomy with a willingness to grow into a senior position.

- Comfortable working with and improving an existing codebase.

- Strong engineering culture, attention to the details, business-centric mindset.
