Presentation of the position

We are looking for a curious and passionate Senior Data Engineer to join our versatile team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, multi-project environment and is eager to explore various aspects of data engineering and business analytics through powerful tools. With a litte help from our DataVault certified tool, the dataFactory, you’ll equipped to build data model, IM, and see more details in the “Your task will be” areas.

Your tasks will be

• Participate in the full lifecycle of our projects: from capturing and understanding the end-user needs, over functional design, defining the logical and physical solution architecture, supervising the detailed technical design and implementation, to preparing and executing the technical and functional tests

• Lead the continuous improvement efforts by identifying technology and process improvements both at our clients side and for the prodcut development team

• Constantly maintaining and enlarging your professional knowledge and technical skills through self-learning and training sessions

• Participate in the business development process by developing proof-of-concept and estimating workload

• Act as a bridge between IT and Business, particularly by understanding our clients’ business needs and participating in meetings with them.

• Coach dFakto consultants, partners and client team members

• Be part of the Data Management practice within dFakto

You will also contribute to the development of the company through your vision and your taste for entrepreneurial activities

• You have 4+ years of experience

• You have a strong conceptual, logical and physical data modelling experience (relational and dimensional)

• Knowledge of Data Vault methodology is a strong plus

• You can easily adapt to new project and/or sector

• You have the capability to manage projects independently and grow with evolving missions

• You are not affraid to work on multiple projects at the same time

• You have a strong experience in designing, developing and implementing Data Management solutions for Business Analytics

• You have an in-depth knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL, Snowflake and/or SQL Server)

• You can do data extract, transformation, and loading (ETL) methodology from source systems to data warehouses

• You are assertive and communicative, enabling you to work and network at multiple levels within the organization

• You are analytical and you have good problem-solving skills

• You are fluent in English and French
