Le poste

Descriptif du poste

We are an EPD-first company (Engineering, Product, Design). You will be the second Product Designer at Primo. You’ll join as a senior partner with significant influence over how the entire product looks, feels, and behaves.

Your job: turn a complex IT backend into a calm, clear interface that people actually enjoy using. Done well, we’ll build one of those products that feels obvious once you’ve seen it—and very hard to live without.

This is what you can expect:

  • A small, tight knit team of smart coworkers who do not say “this is not my job”

  • A fluid organisation with a lot of autonomy and responsibility

  • A lot of space to grow and develop as the company scales

Here is what to expect in your first months:

In your first month

  • Learn the product, our customers and the current design decisions.

  • Shadow support and sales calls to hear how people talk about Primo.

  • Take ownership of one project and ship it with the team.

Within three months

  • Fully own one area of the product, from discovery to delivery.

  • Run or co run research sessions with customers and MSP partners.

  • Help define or refine our design principles and process.

Within six to twelve months

  • Be the reference person for one or more product pillars.

  • Mentor future designers as the team grows.

  • Help shape the design team setup, rituals and hiring bar.

  • Play a key role in making Primo the product people cite when they talk about “finally good IT software”.

Profil recherché

This is a senior IC role. You will be hands on and close to the work. You might be a good fit if:

  • You have around 4 to 8 years of experience in Product Design, ideally in B2B or internal tools with some complexity

  • You are comfortable owning the whole design loop: research, flows, interaction, UI and a bit of content when needed

  • You know how to work with engineers on technical topics, trade offs and constraints, not only happy paths

  • You can explain your choices clearly, listen to others and change your mind when someone has a better idea

  • You care about craft and details, and you also know when “good enough” is the right call to learn faster

  • You are fluent in English

  • You are based in Paris or willing to relocate, and you like working in person with your team a few days a week

Nice to have:

  • Experience building or running a design system

  • Experience with AI tools and workflows to improve quality and productivity in a team

  • Experience working on security, IT or other deeply technical products

On top of that, you probably recognize yourself in these traits:

  • You’re excited to tackle an unsexy but big & useful market

  • You want to build something ambitious from scratch

  • You prefer small teams with limited management & reporting

  • You like pushing the boundaries of your job desc

  • You describe yourself as talented, motivated, interesting & intense

  • Beyond our business, you want to help shape our culture & team

Déroulement des entretiens

We try to keep things simple and respectful of your time.

  1. Intro call with our current designer Aurélien to see if there is a good mutual fit and answer your first questions.

  2. Practical exercise with Aurélien to understand how you think, how you approach problems and how you work with others.

  3. Final chats with Martin (CEO), Benoit (CTO) and a few engineers you would work with day to day.

We do our best to give clear feedback after each step.
