Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Build and curate a comprehensive database of local and international suppliers from raw material to manufacturers and artisans relevant to high-end interior design (furniture, materials, lighting, fixtures).

  • Identify and vet new providers who offer a balance of exceptional quality and competitive pricing.

  • Source rare and unique pieces for bespoke projects while maintaining a portfolio of reliable “value-engineering” alternatives.

Negotiation & Value Creation

  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

  • Develop close relationships with key providers to gain early access to destocking events, showroom sales, and off-market bargains.

  • Continuously benchmark market prices to ensure Canel Caron remains cost-efficient.

Project Collaboration & Strategy

  • Collaborate closely with the design team during the conceptual phase to provide real-time input on material costs and availability.

  • Propose creative, cost-effective alternatives to expensive specification items (value engineering) that maintain the design integrity.

  • Manage the procurement timeline to ensure all items are ordered and delivered in alignment with project schedules.

Logistics & International Trade

  • Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, from raising purchase orders to tracking deliveries.

  • Navigate international sourcing challenges, including customs, duties, and shipping logistics for global imports.

  • Resolve any issues related to damaged goods, returns, or discrepancies in orders.

Profil recherché

  • Experience: Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or buying, preferably within the interior design, architecture, or luxury construction sectors.

  • Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms and cost savings.

  • Product Knowledge: A keen eye for design quality and a deep understanding of materials, finishes, and furniture construction.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance budget constraints with high-end aesthetic requirements.

  • Organization: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and complex supply chains simultaneously.
