Join our Bureau of Technology (BoT) as a Senior Technical Program Manager II, where we're not just building tech, we're sabotaging the "buy new" mentality one ambitious program at a time. Our 300-person BoT is where engineering meets rebellion, driving the transformation in how consumers perceive refurbished technology.
You'll be the connective tissue between Engineering, Product, and Business teams, turning ambitious visions into delivered reality. This isn't about managing timelines in spreadsheets—it's about being a force multiplier who thrives in ambiguity, challenges the status quo, and makes high-impact programs happen across multiple tribes.

You'll orchestrate our most game-changing technical programs while keeping everyone aligned, unblocked, and moving fast. Your impact will span multiple tribes and directly accelerate Back Market's growth across EU, US, and APAC markets.
What you will do:
• Lead cross-functional technical programs from concept to delivery, managing relationships across BoT, Product, and Business departments
• Partner with teams to define execution strategy and roadmaps built on shared goals, becoming the single point of accountability for each program • Remove blockers, drive process improvements, and deliver on-time while fostering iterative development and continuous improvement
• Optimize resources and balance business needs against technical constraints, providing escalation management when needed
• Identify and mitigate risks and cross-team dependencies to ensure successful delivery
• Up-skill the broader tech organization in program management practices, establishing clear engineering KPIs and accountability
Exemples of programs you might lead: modernization of our tech stack, creating new purchasing experiences for refurbished devices, driving AI adoption across the company, enabling multi-language market support, and other high-impact initiatives.
• 5+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical program management experience (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Track record leading transversal initiatives from inception to delivery across multiple cross-functional teams
• Excellent English communication skills, you're known as a facilitator with strong interpersonal skills that build relationships across all levels
• Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity with strong problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making
• Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams with critical thinking and thought leadership
• Proven ability to influence without direct authority at senior levels, both inside and outside engineering
• Strong analytical skills with large-scale technical systems experience
