Are you ready to join us?
Are you a natural organizer, a connector of people, passionate about team life, and always ready for the next challenge? Then this opportunity might just be made for you.
We’re opening an Office Manager position within our People team — a central, hands-on, and deeply human role. A true Swiss Army knife, you’ll be the heart and soul of our Bordeaux office: ensuring smooth daily operations while also driving the social, cultural, and collective life of the team.
With boundless energy, a curiosity for discovering Back Makers from all walks of life, and a genuine desire to build connections, you’ll help make the office much more than a workplace. This is a 360° role, blending office management, culture, and event coordination.
You’ll be the operational anchor of the Bordeaux office: the one who keeps everything running smoothly, efficiently… and with a smile!
Here’s what that looks like in practice:
Logistics & supplies
Manage office supplies, snacks, beverages, and weekly team lunches using a network of diverse, sustainable, and inclusive vendors. Monitor budgets, handle invoice processing, and continuously optimize for cost and quality.
Front desk & hospitality
Ensure a warm, professional welcome for all office visitors—service providers, partners, job candidates, and more. You’ll be the face of the office, responsible for creating an inclusive and friendly atmosphere, while managing and supporting a Welcome Host who will assist in daily reception and hospitality tasks.
Mail & deliveries
Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries with precision and fairness. Everyone gets what they need, when they need it—no exceptions.
Facility management & building liaison
Oversee the day-to-day up keep of our 5000m2 space and act as the primary contact for the building management company. Ensure the office remains accessible, safe, and comfortable for all team members.
Subtenant coordination
Manage relationships with subtenants sharing the space: draft and track contracts in close collaboration with the Legal team, handle invoicing, and maintain a positive day-to-day relationship with hosted teams.
As Office Manager, you’ll be much more than the person who “runs the space” — you’ll also be the beating heart of the Bordeaux office culture.
Here’s how you’ll bring it to life:
Local energy & monthly events
Take ownership of our monthly Some Hands gatherings — both in-office and off-site. You’ll be a creative force, always scouting out great spots in Bordeaux and coming up with new ideas to surprise and delight the team. Depending on the budget, you may also help design and roll out ad-hoc cultural programming throughout the year.
Global culture & internal comms support
Partner with our internal communication team to support our global All Hands meetings, ensuring a smooth experience on-site and online. You’ll also contribute to the coordination of internal conferences led by our teams — such as BackCon, our in-house tech conference — by supporting logistics and team engagement.
Onboarding & team rituals
Be the first face our newcomers meet in Bordeaux. From day one, you’ll help them feel at home, transmitting our values, sharing our rituals, and making sure their first steps with us are memorable, smooth, and aligned with who we are.
You'll be the voice and pulse of the Bordeaux office — making sure information flows, updates are shared, and everyone feels connected.
Here’s how:
Local updates & rituals
Lead and animate a monthly Monday Brief, live from Bordeaux, to share key local updates, team wins, upcoming projects, and initiatives — creating visibility and momentum across the site.
Internal communication channels
Own and update the local Slack channel and Bordeaux-dedicated Confluence pages — keeping them fresh, useful, and engaging. You’ll be the go-to person for everything happening in and around the office.
Cross-functional collaboration
Act as a key liaison for cross-team projects, especially with IT, whose role is crucial to supporting our tools, infrastructure, and daily productivity. You’ll make sure the Bordeaux team’s needs are heard and met.
You are in the right place if:
You have proven experience as an Office Manager or in a versatile administrative role.

You are autonomous, organized, proactive, and skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

A strong command of office tools (Google Workspace, Slack, etc.) is a plus.
Familiarity with the local Bordeaux ecosystem (suppliers, service providers) is appreciated.
You have a genuine interest in sustainability and environmental awareness.
