The Data Team & You

The Data Team of Altitude is in charge of the whole chain of production of climate data services from developping state-of-the-art climate models and algorithms to putting in production scalable API with customized features to request this data.

Under the supervision of the Lead Data Engineer, you will deliver high-quality technical solutions :

• Set in production the algorithms developed by the climatologists and data scientists of the team.

• Develop the relevant features to customize the requests of the various available data products, in agreement with our customers need.

• Ensure the performance and scalability of the algorithms set in production.

• Set up robust and scalable data acquisition pipelines.

• Ensure the monitoring and the execution of the data acquisition pipelines.

• Top engineering schools with a major in computer science.

• Previous experience (< 2yrs) as a Python Software Engineer or Data Engineer.

• Knowledge of AWS Cloud engineering

• Previous experience in geospatial &/or climate related field is a +

• Skills with Docker, Terraform & Gitlab is a +

• Pragmatic, Business & Solution-oriented.

• … and obviously very strong Python skills

You will meet up with 4 different people of Altitude :

• Data Engineers &/or Data Scientists of Altitude Data Team

• Head of Data

• HR

One of the meeting with the Lead Data Engineer will be dedicated to a technical discussion/test.
