Alice & Bob is a rapidly growing deeptech company going through the R&D stage to shape the future of Quantum computing. A diverse team of brilliant minds from over 20 countries, we're on a mission to revolutionize technology and benefit humanity by building the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer with a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit.
While we're dedicated to our work, we also value a fun and collaborative culture.
Are you ready to join us on this groundbreaking journey? Join us today!
About the role
As a Quantum Algorithms Scientist, your role is to develop the first fault-tolerant quantum computing (FTQC) applications for Alice & Bob's architecture, primarily in quantum simulation (e.g., condensed matter physics and quantum chemistry). You will also serve as a scientific expert in collaborations with academic and industry partners.
Responsibilities
Pioneer new quantum computing methods.Optimize the implementation of quantum algorithms to our architecture, and challenge it. Work on the first unchallenged quantum advantage (as soon as Alice & Bob's hardware becomes available). Actively engage in scientific collaborations with academic institutions and private industry.Drive the commercialization of developed quantum algorithms by identifying high-value industry applications and collaborating with R&D partners to mature the technology.Requirements
A PhD or 3+ years research experience in quantum computing or condensed matter physics or related fields (quantum chemistry, nuclear physics, particle physics...).Successful track-record of driving research initiatives and solid publication portfolio.Professional-level English proficiency, both written and spoken.Nice to Have
Experience in the intersection between quantum computing and quantum chemistry, nuclear physics or high energy physics.Strong experience with software design and best practices. Practical knowledge of quantum computing hardware and error correction.Benefits
