Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Field Service Representative (f/m) to join our Customer Services Department based in Toulouse, France.

Within the framework of the Customer Services policy, the Field Service Representative (FSR) can find that he or she represents Airbus on site at the airline facility or is part of a team. The person will provide on-site technical assistance in support of safe and economical operations. The person can advise on OR and Safety Enhancement opportunities whilst leveraging on the Airbus Engineering, Maintenance, Flight Operations, Flight Safety, Training and Spares network. In general the role should ensure efficient communication between the airline and Airbus, adapting to specific airline business models and culture with the aim of developing a trustworthy relationship with the Customer.

Your challenges:

  • Activities can be performed in either a permanent station environment, within an EIS team or a multi-customer station.
  • Support solutions for aircraft technical issues with the objective of influencing timely solutions to technical related matters being experienced by the Airline.
  • Depending on the contractual arrangement the FSR may support the Airline through the use of SHM (Skywise Health Monitoring) / SPM (Predictive) on specific issues.
  • Provide technical advice and transfer know-how to the Line Maintenance department at Entry Into Service of a new A/C type within a customer.
  • Interface and communicate with all departments at Airbus and the airline taking into account the evolving organizations and inform the Airline as required.
  • Provide proactive support to the airline technical operation, including Flight Operations, Training and Spares e.g. OR review, identify issues and propose solutions where available.
  • Support timely escalation/facilitation/influence internally priority ‘tech requests’ including follow up on any associated RIL /RDAF needs.
  • Promote OEB embodiment and Airbus Safety Enhancement initiatives.
  • Fulfill an active part of the SMS network (safety first) and foster a collaborative exchange with the Airline focal points.
  • The FSR should demonstrate engagement and proactive support in the performance of the role.
  • Advise on Airbus Products and services that may add value to the Airline operation.
  • Support the business relationship with the Airline and Airbus.

Your boarding pass:

  • You have an engineering degree or equivalent, and have at least 10 years of experience
  • You have experience in Airline Maintenance & Engineering environment.
  • A220 type trained (T1, T2) with experience on type.
  • Other Airbus Commercial type experience of obvious benefit when considering missions.
  • You demonstrate agility and flexibility in order to be able to support a mission request worldwide.
  • You are resilient in the face of pressure and other external factors such as geopolitical instability as an example.
  • English is mandatory, and the knowledge of other languages is a plus
