JOB DESCRIPTION

To support its development, AFS is creating a position at its LONDON office for an International Business Development Director of the AGENCY PRIVATE DEBT activity to accelerate its growth in Continental Europe, with a specific emphasis on infrastructure financing. The main targeted markets are Germany, Nordics and Benelux without excluding other opportunities.

Reporting directly to the company’s General Management, your missions after a familiarization phase with the specificities of the Company’s offers will be:

• You will take the measure of the services offered by Aether FS in the field of the PRIVATE DEBT Agency to formalize and define a development strategy (markets and targets) and the corresponding commercial discourse to support the International Development in the targeted European markets. A specific emphasis is set on developing the Agency services towards the infrastructure players in the UK and in Europe. 

• By taking responsibility for such development, your mission will consist in formalizing the communication/marketing supports to promote Aether FS’s offers while also being a force of proposal on the essential evolutions to be considered to reinforce our positioning on the market in terms of offers and services,

• For the specific development in the infrastructure financing agency, you will be responsible for structuring the relevant value proposal while relying on the existing experience within the company (deals in portfolio) as well as your knowledge of this market.  

• To secure and support the development and visibility on the targeted markets, in relation with the Communication Department, you will take responsibility for formalizing the formats of the supports and actions to support the development of the activity: blog, articles, webinars, events,..

• You will be a driving force in the coordination and a field actor in the realization of the development actions of the offers and this activity vis-à-vis the identified targets by relying both on existing customer contacts and on new targets,

• By your position, you will be in close relation with the other Business Unit Directors to maximize the sharing of information as well as joint development opportunities and synergies,

• You will ensure regular reporting and an adequate monthly point to the General Management linked to your position, and the progress of the actions carried out and to be undertaken to achieve the development objectives, notably in terms of customer follow-up and commercial proposals,

• You will ensure regular monitoring of market elements, regulatory developments that may impact, influence or support the company’s activities in the UK as well as in other key European countries.

YOUR PROFILE

• 8 to 10 years minimum experience in the Agency Private Debt Business Development with a proven international exposure and ideally a good knowledge of the infrastructure financing,

• Strong operational knowledge of UK and European Private Debt markets and their functioning (technical, regulatory and legal),

• Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, independent, and hungry to grow in a favorable environment,

• The willingness to take operational control of the development of an activity with all the commercial, marketing and field management challenges within the framework of a strong strategic will,

• A proven sensitivity to digital tools and innovative solutions,

• Proven experience in the operational management of projects involving different actors in the Infrastructure Financing universe in the UK and Europe,

• Proficient in Office 360,

• Fluent in English, another European language (German, Dutch, Spanish) is essential,

• Good interpersonal skills / likes to work in a team,

• Accountability and sense of customer relationship, autonomy.
