As part of Adevinta’s Central Teams, the Trust and Transactions tribe offers expertise and solutions for solving user and business problems to help our millions of customers trade safely online every day. Within Trust and Transactions, the Serenity team plays a key role in building the global fraud detection and moderation component that caters to our marketplaces globally. Serenity is utilising the latest machine learning techniques to provide a safer experience for our marketplaces’ customers. Our team is distributed across Paris and Barcelona.

As a Frontend Engineer in Serenity, you will be a part of the team building a highly responsive website used by the moderators in our Marketplaces globally. The next step along this journey is to develop a powerful and feature-rich Micro-Frontend web application for all our global customers which resides on top of our Microservice architecture. These microsites split the entire application by business domain enabling Frontend teams the same level of flexibility, testability, and velocity as backend teams and enables our Marketplaces to iterate faster.

What you'll do

• Build a state-of-the-art responsive website and keep up to date with 
• Be involved in Frontend and Backend Javascript development
• Develop prototypes quickly using best practices and tools
• Be committed to code optimisation and maintainability
• Be concerned with quality and following test strategies
• Be creative and experiment with new solutions
• Optimise web applications for maximum speed
• Work closely with the Product Manager to reach shared ambitions

• You have experience with highly responsive frontend development
• You have strong problem solving skills
• You have strong knowledge of developing client applications using TypeScript/JavaScript

• If you have experience with distributed computing technologies it’s a plus
• You’re able to deal with conflicts in a mature, impartial and candid way
• If you have collaborative work experience with geographically distributed teams it’s a big plus
