​​​​​What you’ll do

  • Work with other teams to understand their current processes and missing opportunities around data engineering development and find solutions to cover those needs.

  • Help onboard teams to our platform and services, track their progress and learn from their feedback.

  • Share knowledge and provide expert advice to Adevinta engineers on how to best use the data platform tools as well as providing answers to their engineering needs.

  • Build highly scalable solutions for big data on top of a wide spectrum of technologies like: AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow, Argo Workflows, Hadoop, Programming languages (Python, Scala or Go), GitHub, CI/CD tools and many more!

  • Monitor and automate the operations and production of large-scale distributed systems alongside interdisciplinary team

Profil recherché

Who you are

  • You have a BSc (or equivalent) degree / equivalent experience in Computer Science

  • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Strong analytical / problem solving skills

  • Experience with Linux/UNIX systems

  • Experience with batch data processing tools (Spark, Airflow, Luigi, etc.)

  • Experience with “big data” NoSQL databases design and optimisation (S3, Hive, Redshift, Cassandra, etc),; SOLID, TDD etc.

  • Proven ability and experience developing computer programmes (Scala, Golang, Java, Python or similar)

  • Experience in building systems that scale

  • Experience with modern engineering tools for CI/CD
