Welcome to the Jungle

Business

Pierre-Gaël—PG for short—spent a large part of his childhood in Asia and Latin America before moving to France and majoring in hospitality and business at university. Former employers include Multiposting (a start-up later absorbed by the German software company SAP) and Link Humans/#rmstouch, a small company dedicated to training and event planning for job recruiters.

One of the company’s four business partners, PG arrived in the jungle just as Bertrand and Jérémy were getting their project underway. At first his remit was media strategy but he quickly switched his focus to finding companies to showcase on the site. Today, he heads up the Business Hub and its two teams, sales development and account management.

Things to know about PG: He is a whiskey connoisseur, plays the accordion, and never, ever takes off his Stetson cap.

Favorite song: “Birmingham” by Foxlane.

After graduating from college and taking some time out in Australia, Seb co-founded Amogado—a viral marketing platform for fashion and luxury brands. This was followed by a position at an American company specializing in digital careers, his first experience of the world of recruitment.

After crossing paths with Pierre-Gaël and Jérémy, he joined Welcome to the Jungle in 2017, dealing with media development for moderate and large corporate customers.

When he isn’t zooming around Paris on his scooter to meet up with clients, he likes to hang out in the Marais—on the Rue de Bretagne, to be precise—where he loves chatting to the local shop owners and getting tips on how to hone his culinary skills!

Favorite song: “Everlong” by Foo Fighters.

Melanie began her professional career in the world of entrepreneurship working for the start-up accelerator NUMA after graduating from business school. She met our co-founders (Bertrand & Jeremy) when they were launching Welcome to the Jungle. While evangelizing our solution to our prospective clients, Melanie can’t stop walking. She can walk up to 2,5km a day in the office. Quite impressive!

After graduating in business, he successfully launched two television production agencies in 2008 and 2010. Is the job market a Jungle?

Welcome to the Jungle is the multichannel media company that aims to inspire every individual to thrive in their professional lives.

We propose a wide variety of high-quality content (articles, videos, series, podcasts, magazines or events) to help young professionals rethink their relationship with work.

We have also created a content-rich website with 2100+ detailed company profiles – including photos, videos, and statistics (number of employees, gender, average age) – making valuable job search information accessible for prospective candidates. It is now way easier for them to narrow down the tribe they belong to!

Aiming to propose the best possible candidate experience, we provide recruiters with Welcome Kit, an in-house applicant tracking system (ATS) that is collaborative, intuitive and efficient. Recruiters using Welcome Kit can post unlimited job offers within their company profile, and efficiently manage every candidate application.

What they are looking for

Building a diverse team with various backgrounds and expertises (content, production, business, tech…) has been at the core of Welcome to the Jungle since its very beginning and is truly part of its strength today! There are no typical profiles, each and every team member shares our vision and wants to be part of its success. Welcome to the Jungle is a young, yet fast-growing, project which offers an ideal workplace for those who want to have a real impact on the growth of a company and are craving for responsibilities.

Good to know

From team workshops to Jungle parties each quarter, from annual team building to Jungle Talks where the entire team meets and discusses with someone who’s willing to share his or her background… Opportunities for the team to question and improve our (and others’) way(s) of working are plenty!

Oh, and our office is located in a typical Parisian building, in center of the capital, and offers a charming private terrace.
