The position

Job description

As a scientific consultant, you will work on multiple health data projects ranging from rare to chronic diseases in order to meet the needs of the various health actors (research centers, pharmaceutical industries, medicine agencies, etc.). Your good communication skills and your sense of organization will allow you to easily work in a project team composed of data engineers and a project manager. Your proactivity and your innovative mindset, will be necessary assets to provide smart solutions, adapted to the biomedical context and the economic stakes of the project. Finally, your ability to learn quickly will enable you to take full advantage of the company-sponsored training programs and build a solid knowledge foundation in Real World Evidence generation and machine learning.

Responsibilities

  • Perform literature reviews on diseases and present knowledge to non-expert audience
  • Use scientific knowledge to capture clinical characteristics in real world databases (could include definition of proxies) to support analytical work (e.g. modeling)
  • Participate to the data structuration in order to ensure the quality of the analysis from a medical point of view (e.g. include chronic and acute diseases differently).
  • Participate to presentation meetings and working sessions with clients and senior staff
  • Interpret the output of analyses and assess findings with the existing literature
  • Write up results in reports and publications
  • May participate in bid defense

Preferred experience

Required qualifications

Graduated from a University of Pharmacy or Biomedical Sciences (PharmD or master’s degree), you have the following skills:

  • Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken
  • Experience in reading, synthesizing and writing scientific articles and reports
  • Excellent ability to communicate knowledge to the public
  • Good knowledge of statistical methods
  • Creative and scientific mindset with a taste for challenges

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge on pharmaceutical industry, health regulation, and clinical practices would be a plus
  • Experience on the analysis of RCT or Real-World data would be welcome
  • Having basic programming skills (e.g. R, python) in order to provide simple statistical analyses and product tables and figures is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of machine-learning would be welcome
