The Ops Team is at the heart of the OVRSEA customer experience: reactivity, excellence, pedagogy and customer awareness are the leitmotiv!

The Ops Team is the main contact for our customers and acts as a link between all our service providers, who have been selected on the basis of quality of service, responsiveness and reliability.

In France, the Ops team is composed of 25 people. We are launching this department in Spain so be one of the first one to take part of the adventure (already 2 people in the team)! 

What does it mean to be an Ops Manager at OVRSEA?

The Ops Manager communicates in real time with the customer concerning the evolution of the transport, informs him on the important stages, guides him in case of constraints and hazards and is a force of proposal if the situation requires it.

He is also in daily contact with the different service providers chosen (in general 4 to 5 service providers are necessary for an import*: an agent in a foreign country, the shipping company, the customs declarant, and the carrier*) and acts as a link between all the parties involved throughout the duration of the transport.

For all these reasons, the Ops occupies a major role in OVRSEA's activity, which makes it a key pillar for the company.

Mission

Transport operations for large imports or exports (80%)

 * Supporting a portfolio of customers

 * Carrying out air, sea, road and rail transport

 * Customer advice and problem-solving proactively

Development, structuring and strategy (20%)

  * Relationship and negotiation with carriers and agents worldwide

  * Increasing the knowledge of the team (research and writing of articles)

  * Operational strategy

Profile

  • You are fluent in Spanish
  • You demonstrate an interest in the transport industry. You are curious by nature, and are never satisfied with the answer “we’ve always done it this way”. Experience with a forwarding agent is a plus, but not essential.
  • You can handle stress: Ops days are exciting but intense. Lots of issues and requests at the same time, and non-stop deadlines… but we love it!
  • You think solutions rather than problems, and you are able to take initiative.
  • You have a strong interest in the startup environment, and you want to commit to an exciting entrepreneurial adventure
