We’re looking for a Head of Client Data to join our growing team (30+).

What does it mean to be Manager/head of in the data team at Malt ?

Work closely with the team to lead and help everyone to reach their expectations and grow.

As a manager, your days will be drive by strategic decision making, autonomy and not day to day tasks.

Be impact driven and aimed to find the best solution with a close collaboration with Product and Business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities ✨

  • Lead a team of 6 to 8 data analysts (across product, marketing and business) to develop a deep understanding of our clients and accelerate our growth
  • Partner with the Director of Product Client, our Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Growth, the Head of Finance and operational leaders (VP Sales Ops and country General Managers) across Malt to inform the roadmap and strategy 
  • Empower the teams across Malt to answer data questions quickly and easily by building high-quality ground truth data sets, metrics and dashboards. 
  • Hire and grow best-in-class talents and cultivate diversity in the team
  • Advance the Data disciplines at Malt, including driving data best practices such as improving and automating analytical processes, building new data tools and data sets, data education around the company and mentoring and developing others.
  • It corresponds to a senior manager or director position, depending on experience and seniority level.
  • About you 🧑‍🚀

  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience and a degree (Masters or PhD is a plus) in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research).
  • Track record in leading and growing a team (2+ years of management)
  • Experience working with tech and product. Experience in marketplaces and growth are a plus
  • Experience partnering with internal teams to drive action and providing expertise and direction on analytics, experimental design, and measurement
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and statistics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive and cooperative attitude that fosters collaboration and teamwork both inside and outside the department
  • Ability to make thoughtful decisions in real time to provide support and solve problems as they arise
  • Organized, seasoned and strategic multitasker, with a hands-on approach to solving problems and accomplishing tasks in short turnarounds as needed
  • Comfortable in navigating and excelling in fast paced environments with no playbook for success, and able to simplify
  • Experience in data science, Python or R are a plus.
