The position

Job description

We are looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Head People to lead Jus Mundi People in France and internationally. You will help design and establish our People Strategy, while also acting as a sparring partner to the key Leadership Team for all People and Culture related topics.

Key point of your role will be to ensure best-in-class HR processes that will help support Jus Mundi on its growth trajectory. You will partner with key stakeholders by advising, guiding and supporting them on a variety of strategic people topics.

The ideal candidate posses a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within a dynamic, fast-paced tech environment, and enjoys working in a multicultural, friendly and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Help design and execute our International People Strategy to steer Jus Mundi on its way to becoming a healthy, mature organization;

  • Act as a trusted partner to the Founders and the rest of the Leadership Team on talent, culture and people topics, driving strong company values and engagement;

  • Ensure best-in-class HR processes and structure (Onboarding, Performance Management, Talent, Compensation and Benefits, Training, Org design, Communications and Engagement, etc.);

  • Lead and implement the company’s international recruitment strategy, develop the employer brand, attract and retain top talent, continuously improve recruitment processes, etc.;

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations and monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards;

  • Oversee scaling of the hybrid workplace infrastructure in line with Jus Mundi growth;

  • Put data and insights at the heart of People operations and provide managers and leaders with the information they need to make the right business decisions, thus creating a structured, data-driven organization;

  • Build and maintain a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention; manage employee relations and performance issues.


Preferred experience

  • 8+ years of People experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role during a scaling phase of a startup.

  • Track record of building HR in an hybrid tech environment (experience driving recruitment, overseeing compensation/reward philosophy, payroll, training, etc.);

  • Experience designing and executing a global people strategy, ensuring structure and process excellence (help build a structured, data-driven organisation);

  • Experience partnering with the business and advising the Leadership team on HR topics (stakeholder management and influencing skills);

  • Experience building a sustainable organization - leading transformation to a performance-oriented culture (you are a strong communicator who can build trust and has led this mindset shift before);

  • Deep understanding of HR best practices, French (and US as a bonus) employment laws, as well as other relevant compliance and immigration issues;

  • Ability to strengthen employee engagement/motivation in a remote-first setup (managing turnover and employees expectations);

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing needs and generate new solutions to people and recruitment challenges;

  • Strong analytical and data driven attitude;

  • Resilient and great at multitasking;

  • “Making things possible” attitude;

  • Fluent in English and French, other languages are a plus.
