Their story
Greenerwave is a French Deeptech company based in the heart of Paris. Founded in 2015 by Geoffroy Lerosey, a researcher at CNRS, and Mathias Fink, a professor at ESPCI Paris, the company was created to advance their pioneering research on shaping electromagnetic waves using intelligent materials and Deep Physics algorithms.
In 2012, they adapted the concept of spatial light modulators, widely used in optics, to the world of electromagnetic waves by introducing the concept of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces. Since its establishment at the end of 2015, Greenerwave has continued the work initiated in academia, with the goal of commercializing products based on this concept. To this end, a funding round was completed in 2023, enabling us to accelerate the development of our flagship SATCOM solutions.
By using intelligent, reconfigurable materials based on simple electronic components and physics-based algorithms, we shift the complexity of controlling electromagnetic waves from hardware to software. Our unique technology and expertise in wave control adapt to multiple applications, including electronically steerable antennas for Satellite Communication Systems (SATCOM), telecommunications products, and Radar and RFID detection systems. Our developed products consume very little energy, are easily industrialized, and are highly competitive in the market, explaining the growing interest from major industry players.
