We are Contexte, a European media outlet founded in 2013 with offices in Paris and Brussels. We produce in-depth political information that empowers people to act on the world.
We are radically independent. With no advertising or sponsorship, our only revenue model is subscriptions. We are uncompromisingly committed to factual accuracy and journalistic ethics.

Their vision
We produce expert, granular, and well-structured information. Our reporting is in-depth and focused on utility, not influence. This takes the form of clear briefings, precise analyses, and relevant tracking tools—all designed to be useful both immediately and in the long term.
We will always need journalists for their expertise and their investigative and writing skills. However, we are convinced that an excellent information product stands on two legs: one journalistic, the other technological.
Our mission demands a strong team that values kindness as much as it does rigour.
Our pursuit of excellence drives us to maintain high standards, continuously improve, and achieve results that matter. However, providing in-depth information is impossible without trust, commitment, and the enjoyment of working together. Our model, which is always evolving, is based on the autonomy and responsibility of each individual within a clear framework that we build collectively.
