The position

Job description

As Snapshift’s Chief People Officer you will support the company’s transformation and rapid growth. This includes spearheading our personnel objective of going from 70 employees to 200 by the end of 2022 and then doubling the number of employees each year.  We are looking for a Chief People Officer to help us build a best-in-class business and culture. You will be a member of the Executive Committee and have a strategic role in corporate governance.  The Chief People Officer will drive HR strategy and have the unique opportunity to build our HR infrastructure from the ground up.

Reporting to the CEO, you will have a team of three direct reports.  This new position is being created in response to recent fundraising that finances our rapid growth and the company’s international expansion.

Team

Your initial team will consist of a recruitment manager, an HRBP and an office manager.

Essential Functions

  • Proactively develop and implement strategic HR policies and programs (recruitment, onboarding, mobility, training, compensation etc.) that drive corporate development and culture
  • Supercharge our ability to attract, engage, and develop the best talent
  • Direct personnel and payroll administration
  • Conduct team leadership and executive coaching at all levels of the organization
  • Optimize HR tools (HRMS, ATS, LMS, etc.) and oversee processes that have a positive impact on HR
  • Be the leader for diversity, equity, inclusion and social dialog
  • Act as a champion of our culture and core values through internal communication, employee engagement, culture and values programs and employee wellness.
  • Champion personal and personnel development across all levels of the organization

Requirements

  • 10+ years of proven general HR experience managing all facets of human resources, and a strong emphasis on recruiting
  • Advanced degree such as a master’s, MBA, or equivalent BAC+5 French degree
  • Ability to make recommendations that induce a tangible impact on both overall strategic change and daily operations is a key asset to join us
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation including data-driven decisions when related to people, budgets, workforce and HR
  • Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment, training) and HR Operations (HRIS, technologies, recruiting, L&D)
  • Possess a self-starter mentality, are autonomous but thrive on being part of a team at a rapidly growing company
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about your job and are action-oriented
  • Possess superior interpersonal skills, are flexible, with an ability to unite teams around projects and introduce new ideas.
  • Fluent in English to support Snapshift’s international expansion
