Position Overview:

Digital Security Professional Services EMEA maintains a technical services team that provide the full range of post sales field services supporting the sale of Entrust solutions across the region. Entrust worldwide has an excellent reputation for the quality of its technical expertise and Entrust EMEA is firmly committed to maintaining this reputation.  Entrust Digital Security provides solutions to customers across vertical markets based on PKI, Identity and Data Protection Solutions (DPS).

The PS Systems Integrator (SI) role is a highly dynamic, challenging role that covers the full lifecycle of post sales technical activities.

The SI professional prides him/herself on being highly technical; keeps current on Entrust solutions; has a willingness to continually learn and train; is extremely flexible and adaptable; communicates effectively with colleagues, partners and customers; and enjoys traveling to various countries with unique cultural settings, sometimes on short notice. This role has significant direct interaction with our customers; thus, excellent customer-facing skills and an appreciation of the commercial sales environment are essential. The SI uses their advanced cryptographic technical skills to create competitive advantage for Entrust sales teams, create added value for Entrust customers, and develop Entrust intellectual property.

This position reports to a Professional Services Snr Manager Digital Security EMEA. The position is based in France.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Customer staff in deployment and installation of Entrust products, with initial focus on general-purpose nShield Hardware Security Module (HSM).

  • Facilitate the successful resolution of Customer deployment issues through effective use of the Entrust Support and/or PKI/Identity/DPS Professional Services organization.

  • Attend meetings to understand the Customer’s requirements and provide the Customer with development and deployment options and provide informal knowledge transfer for Entrust products.

  • Identify any software customization requirements for the Customer projects.

  • Research existing infrastructure and functionality, hardware, software and third-party products, and provide architectural guidance specific to future business and technical needs, product utilization and disaster recovery.

  • Participation in project delivery including management of internal deliverables and customer deliverables.

  • Ensures that Customer’s needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to pre-agreed specification.

  • Provide formal HSM product training, on customer premises.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (computer science, telecommunications, electrical engineering or similar area).

  • Excellent French written and oral communication skills to communicate (written and orally) principles and directions to end-users, clients and fellow development consultant’s partners.

  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills to communicate (written and orally) principles and directions to end-users, clients and fellow development consultant’s partners.

  • Must be willing and able to act independently, including working at home and alone on client sites.

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.

  • Must be able to travel (both domestic within France and internationally in EMEA) up to 50% of time.

  • Familiarity with cryptographic concepts, PKI especially, digital signature and data communications, TCP/IP.

  • Solid working knowledge of Linux and MS Windows operating systems.

  • Computer hardware trouble-shooting experience.

  • Solid networking experience with a background in TCP/IP networks.


Preferred experience

The following elements will be of value though they are not mandatory. Training resources on the technologies skills required for each project will be provided by Entrust.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience with information security technology and processes, specifically cryptography.

  • Working knowledge of core cryptographic concepts. Specifically, ability to use, explain, and teach the standard crypto interfaces (e.g. PKCS#11, CAPI/CNG, CHIL).

  • Hardware Security Modules and use cases (e.g. database encryption, BYOK, digital signature, code signing).

  • Public key infrastructures (PKI) and digital certificate technology.

  • Experience in installation, upgrades, and operation of Entrust (or third-party) HSM product.

  • Installation and configuration of some common business applications (e.g. Web and App servers, Database, LDAP).

  • Entrust products: Entrust Certificate Authority, nShield HSMs, Identity Enterprise, KeyControl, DataControl, and others.

  • Secure Web based authentication and rights management solutions, either Entrust’s or a competitor’s product suite.

  • Digital signature and eIDAS legislation.

  • Authentication protocols (SAML 2.0, Oauth 2.0, Open ID Connect) and concepts (2FA, Federation).

  • Smartcard and token-based solutions.

  • Web technology development, especially Java based.

  • Directories (OpenLDAP, Active Directory).

  • Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server).

  • A strong technical background in Information Technology Security is desirable.
