This position is in Zama’s Developer Platform team
Zama recently unveiled the Zama Confidential Blockchain Protocol, which enables confidential smart contracts on top of any blockchain L1 or L2, using Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). The Zama Developer Platform (ZDP) is our managed gateway that lets internal teams and external developers use the open-source Zama Protocol through simple, authenticated HTTPS endpoints. Think Infura or Alchemy, but confidential by default.
We are looking for a Customer Success Engineer to provide dedicated, hands-on engineering support for our most strategic partners/developers, and enable them to successfully build the next generation of confidential decentralised apps on Zama Protocol. You will be their dedicated technical expert, working hands-on to help them implement cutting-edge use cases like confidential tokens (ERC-7984, the draft technical standard from Confidential Token Association). Your mission is to make them successful by guiding them from initial integration to live, build compelling reference examples, and own the documentation that enables them to get to production, fast.
What you will do
Lead hands-on partner enablement: Work directly with the engineering teams of startups and ecosystem partners to get them live. You will be their primary technical contact for debugging API/SDK flows, advising on integration patterns, and unblocking usage of Zama Developer Platform (relayer/oracle) services.
Own the developer journey through documentation: Take full ownership of the Zama Developer Platform and associated SDK documentation, including quickstarts, recipes, API reference examples, and migration guides, keeping them current with every release.
Build compelling reference applications: Create production-adjacent examples and templates (e.g., confidential tokens, portfolio management) that partners can adapt and maintain as Zama Protocol evolves.
Triage and bridge to engineering: Act as the critical link between partners and our internal teams. You will reproduce issues end-to-end, file precise tickets for the Developer Platform or Zama Protocol teams, and ensure partners are updated when a fix is deployed.
Serve as a technical expert in community channels; engage selectively with developers on Discord/Discourse to answer deep technical questions and identify potential future partners.
Drive partner success and velocity: Run a lightweight and effective onboarding process for new partners, tracking milestones to go-live, reporting risks early, and measuring time-to-first-success.
Improve the product with partner feedback: Channel insights from partner integrations back to the Developer Platform team and contribute directly to our SDKs, documentation, and API design.
Strong builder mindset: Comfortable writing TypeScript and Solidity for demos and examples, with the ability to read Rust for debugging and collaboration.
Deep API & Web3 expertise: Extensive experience integrating complex APIs/SDKs, with a strong grasp of auth flows, webhooks, and EVM tooling (Hardhat/Foundry).
Great debugger & communicator: Systematically isolate problems across SDK ↔ API ↔ relayer/oracle ↔ chain and explain fixes simply to external teams.
Docs that developers love: Turn complexity into clarity with crisp guides, diagrams, and runnable examples that reduce support load.
Outcome focus & remote collaboration: Proactive with status/expectations across multiple partners; laser-focused on getting teams live in production and reducing time-to-first-success.
Nice to have
Fluency with API debugging tools (e.g., curl, Postman, HAR captures).
A deep understanding of on-chain/off-chain patterns (relayers, idempotency, reorg awareness).
Prior experience in a Forward Deployed, Partner Engineering, or technical DevRel role at a blockchain infrastructure or API-first company.
Only candidates based in ±4 hours of UTC are suitable for this role.
