The Role at a Glance

As Financiel Controller, you’ll play a critical role in managing and optimizing our financial performance. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll collaborate with Avnet’s regional accounting teams and Witekio’s business leaders across our global offices (Lyon, Paris, Seattle, Bristol, Stuttgart). Your mission: ensure financial accuracy, drive budget control, and support strategic decision-making.This is a great opportunity to shape financial processes and reporting within an international organization backed by a global leader.

 Your Key ResponsibilitiesBudget Management & Reporting (50%)

• Lead the preparation and tracking of budgets aligned with company strategy
• Monitor spending and provide monthly budget and forecast reports
• Partner with P&L owners to define and track performance indicators
• Develop dashboards and analyze financial variances
• Deliver accurate and timely financial forecasts

Financial Controlling (30%)

• Support financial closings in collaboration with accounting teams
• Validate financial statements and intercompany reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and group procedures
• Implement and improve financial control processes
• Contribute to tax validation in coordination with specialists

Management & Internal Coordination (10%)

• Supervise and mentor a junior cost controller
• Oversee the department budget and manage related service providers
• Act as the main point of contact for internal accounting and admin teams

Treasury Support (5%)

• Oversee a limited number of company bank accounts
• Prepare internal cash flow reports
• Monitor and control cash expenses
• Manage intercompany netting, especially for US operations

Hard Skills

• Solid experience in controlling and accounting (French GAAP required)
• Working knowledge of UK, US, or German GAAP is a plus
• Proficient in SAP, Excel, and financial reporting tools
• Experience building dashboards and managing budget processes
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of BWANA is a bonus
