🚀 Your mission

At Vizzia, we design and deploy cameras embedding our own cloud technology for cities, with the ambition of making them cleaner and safer. To achieve this, we develop our hardware entirely in-house. And if we want fast R&D cycles and robust products, a strong testing culture is essential.

That’s where you come in. As an Electronics / Hardware Engineer, your main mission will be to specify and design the electronic boards of our products, as part of the Hardware Development team and in close collaboration with the Industrialization and Integration & Validation teams. You will design test benches to validate product assemblies. These test benches will be used during integration and validation phases, as well as in production.

🔧 Your responsibilities

Product development :

• Design new product features

• Create schematics

• Route complex electronic boards (Ethernet PoE, controllers, 6-layer PCBs, etc.)

• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs)

• Generate manufacturing files

After-sales analysis :

• Analyze field and after-sales returns

• Identify failure root causes

• Propose and implement corrective actions

Define and specify product test benches :

• Unit tests: ensure each component complies with its specifications

• Integration tests: integrate multiple components and verify that product functionalities are correctly implemented

• System tests: ensure the complete product (electronics, mechanics, software) can be certified and delivered to customers

👩‍💻 Profile we’re looking for

Must-have skills :

• Education in electronics and embedded systems, with 8+ years of experience in a similar environment

• Electronic design skills (KiCad, schematics, PCB layout)

• Strong command of a PCB routing tool

• Hands-on experience with measurement, instrumentation, mechanical integration

• Experience in IoT product development, embedded systems, and electronic product validation in both R&D and production environments (test coverage, cycle time, etc.) is a strong plus

Nice-to-have skills :

• Knowledge of C, C++ and Python

• GitHub proficiency

• Mechanical engineering knowledge is a plus

• Familiarity with certification processes

• Comfortable collaborating with international suppliers

Soft skills :

• Pragmatic mindset: you favor efficiency over unnecessary complexity

• Autonomous and resourceful in designing test solutions

• Rigorous execution and documentation

• Strong motivation to contribute concretely to an ambitious project
