Are you ready to help deliver one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects?
The Geotechnical Sub Alliance (GSA) at Sizewell C is seeking a proactive, people‑focused Deputy Plant Manager to join our high‑performing team working at the cutting edge of geotechnical engineering.

This is an exciting opportunity to help manage a large, diverse fleet of specialist plant and equipment—hydrofraises, piling rigs, soil‑mixing plants, diaphragm walling tools, and more—all essential to building the foundations of the new nuclear power station.

About the role:

  • Lead and support the Plant Yard Team, fostering a positive, safety‑first culture
  • Oversee mobilisation and demobilisation of plant across multiple sites
  • Manage plant availability, utilisation and reporting, ensuring assets meet project standards
  • Collaborate with Fitters, Welders, Mechanics and Site Teams to plan maintenance and ensure resources meet production needs
  • Keep the Asset Register accurate and up to date
  • Coordinate plant movements with Logistics
  • Source external plant when needed and evaluate repair options
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operations
  • Support recruitment, staff development, and the PDR process
  • Ensure compliance, standards and procedures are consistently upheld

If you thrive in a busy operational environment and love the challenge of keeping complex moving parts aligned, this role is for you.
