Job Summary

Valiantys Netherlands (BX) is looking for an Atlassian Consultant. As a key member of the Cloud Migration practice, you play a pivotal role in analyzing client needs, tailoring solutions, and configuring Atlassian tools—especially Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket—to support seamless cloud transitions. Your focus is on optimizing workflows, fostering collaboration, and improving software development practices.

Through direct client engagement, training, and strategic guidance, you help organizations fully leverage the Atlassian stack during cloud migration. You bring strong technical skills, clear communication, and a proven ability to drive operational efficiency in complex environments.

Purpose and Responsibilities

Project Delivery

-Lead the end-to-end delivery of Atlassian projects, from project kickoff to deployment and validation.

-Apply project management methodologies effectively across diverse client environments, adapting as needed.

-Deliver hands-on work while also coaching and mentoring junior team members when appropriate.

Customer Engagement

-Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients and manage expectations throughout the engagement.

-Ensure a clear understanding of business objectives to align project outcomes with client goals.

-Communicate confidently with both technical and executive stakeholders, internally and externally.

Consulting & Collaboration

-Contribute to complex projects such as technical and functional audits or advanced Atlassian configurations.

-Support the sales team during pre-sales by providing expert technical input.

-Share your knowledge through internal documentation, blogs, and proposal support.

Cloud Migration

-Assess existing environments and define tailored migration strategies for Atlassian tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).

-Lead the configuration, data migration, and integration processes to ensure smooth transitions to cloud platforms.

-Troubleshoot issues, evaluate post-migration success, and optimize system performance in the cloud.

Do you have what it takes to be our future Atlassian Consultant?

You have a background in computer science or equivalent technical experience, and you're committed to growing both personally and professionally. You’ve led successful initiatives that drive customer impact, and you communicate effectively with both executives and technical audiences.

You bring hands-on experience delivering small to mid-sized technical projects, ideally in consulting, support, Agile transformation, or pre-sales involving Atlassian products. You know how to configure and implement Atlassian solutions, apply Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban), and understand the full software development lifecycle.

You work well independently and in teams. Fluency in English is essential, and Dutch is a strong plus.

This role is located in Rotterdam. We offer flexible remote/office hybrid working policy.
