Descriptif du poste

Be part of the solution at Technip Energies and embark on a one-of-a-kind journey. You will be helping to develop cutting-edge solutions to solve real-world energy problems.

About us:

Technip Energies is a global technology and engineering powerhouse. With leadership position in LNG, hydrogen, ethylene, sustainable chemistry, and CO2 management, we are contributing to the development of critical markets such as energy, energy derivatives, decarbonization, and circularity. Our complementary business segments, Technology, Products and Services (TPS) and Project Delivery, turn innovation into scalable and industrial reality.

Through collaboration and excellence in execution, our 17,000+ employees across 34 countries are fully committed to bridging prosperity with sustainability for a world designed to last.

About the mission we offer you:

Within the Risk Quantification department, you will join the HSE Design team, which is made up of Industrial Safety, Risk Quantification, and Environment & Health engineers, to work on issues related to the prevention, control, and protection against industrial risks on projects developed by Technip Energies (natural gas, petrochemicals, hydrogen, ammonia, mining & metals, pharmaceuticals, renewable energies).

Your main contacts will be the HSE Design team, but also other Technip Energies disciplines such as the Process, Piping, Civil Engineering teams, etc.

The internship is part of the continuous improvement of methods and tools used to carry out industrial risk studies on Onshore, Modular Onshore and Offshore facilities. During your internship, you will work on several topics related to facility safety. Among these, the dispersion of hazardous fluids (flammable, toxic, etc.) through vents into the atmosphere and explosion risks will be a key focus. Depending on opportunities, you will also be involved in projects as part of an HSED team, enabling you to encounter the issues addressed during the internship in the field and measure their impact on the progress of a project.

As an intern, your various tasks will consist of:

  • Studying the methodologies, assumptions, criteria, and results of atmospheric vent dispersion studies and analyzing the consequences of hazardous phenomena.
  • Understanding the parameters that characterize an explosion.
  • Familiarizing yourself with the guides developed internally by the department to carry out these studies.
  • Becoming familiar with modeling tools such as FLACS (CFD - Gexcon) and Phast (DNV).
  • Performing dispersion simulations and sensitivity analyses on key parameters.
  • Study 3D models of our facilities to assess changes in parameters that influence risk calculations.
  • Propose improvements to methodologies and tool usage.
  • Prepare a summary to document conclusions and recommendations.

You will work closely with specialists in risk quantification and safety engineering.

These activities will enable you to learn about the role of a Risk Quantification Engineer within the HSE Design team at Technip Energies Paris, develop modeling skills, and understand the challenges of a project and the interactions between engineering disciplines.

During this internship, you will be supported by a mentor who will answer any questions you may have.

Starting Date: February or March 2026

Duration : 6 months
