Descriptif du poste

Be part of the solution at Technip Energies and embark on a one-of-a-kind journey. You will be helping to develop cutting-edge solutions to solve real-world energy problems.

About us:

Technip Energies is a global technology and engineering powerhouse. With leadership position in LNG, hydrogen, ethylene, sustainable chemistry, and CO2 management, we are contributing to the development of critical markets such as energy, energy derivatives, decarbonization, and circularity. Our complementary business segments, Technology, Products and Services (TPS) and Project Delivery, turn innovation into scalable and industrial reality.

Through collaboration and excellence in execution, our 17,000+ employees across 34 countries are fully committed to bridging prosperity with sustainability for a world designed to last.

About the mission we offer you:

The internship focuses on the development of an innovative LNG storage tank design for floating unit hulls. This innovation is the subject of a pending LNG patent application.

The objective of the internship is to research simplified parametric mechanical operating laws in the innovative components and verify their validity using finite element calculation models. This will enable a rapid assessment of stress levels associated with local phenomena without the need for FEA calculation models in the early engineering phases.

The first part of the internship will examine previously completed work defining applicable regulatory and construction requirements, Classification Society calculation methodologies, and review the main design parameters:

  •  Loading
  • Hull dimensions
  • Materials
  • Drafts
  • Tank size/volume
  • Fluid density
  • Module weight
  • Loading conditions and ballasting plan

Then, a calculation methodology will need to be established, and finally, a tool will be developed for its practical implementation.

The tool must be able to define the predicted stress values for the desired areas based on the various parameters identified.

Tool specifications:

  • Simplified user interface – to be defined (Excel or Python)
  • Commented programming
  • Production of a user guide
  • Production of a developer guide

Starting Date: March/April

Duration: 6 months

About you:

We love to hear from you and how you match with this position. To be successful in this mission you should consider the following requirements:

  •  Currently pursuing a Master's degree
