Team Vitality is the #1 French esports team and a leading esports powerhouse in Europe, participating in the biggest competitions and leagues (League of Legends LEC, Valorant VCT EMEA, CS:GO Blast, CS:GO Blast ESL, etc.)

Commercial partnerships/sponsorships represent a very significant revenue stream in esports and for Team Vitality. Partners are integrated across the entire Vitality ecosystem.

Team Vitality is looking for an experienced Partnership Development Manager, with proven international experience, who will be responsible for researching, identifying, negotiating, and closing the sponsorship and partnership deals, to achieve team revenue goals.
This will be a key role in focusing on growing revenue through partnership sales.

The successful candidate will have strong sales acumen, solution-oriented mindset, commercial creativity and resilience as well as proven international experience in sponsorship sales and excellent organizational abilities.

This is a full-time position for an experienced Partnership Development Manager, based in central Paris, and will involve:

  • Pitch, negotiate and close sponsorship deals to achieve team revenue goals, with a focus on deals that have an international scope
  • Identify, and track sponsorship prospects within target industries and segments
  • Lead and direct ongoing sponsorship sales presentations with internal and external partners; develop positive relationships with potential partners to build a robust funnel of prospects
  • Provide weekly reporting of sales metrics including pipeline generation, account status, revenue, and relevant sponsor interaction
  • Handle and entertain the relationship with agencies that can generate leads for Team Vitality
  • Identify new business opportunities through new client acquisition and growth, and working with internal stakeholders to enhance the partnership offering
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the company

The scope of this position is as below :

  • Direct line manager: Head of Business Development
  • Number of people supervised (directly/indirectly): 1 intern
  • Internal interlocutors: Marketing, Merchandising, Diversification, Esports, etc.

Profil recherché

Knowledge/Expertise

  • Minimum 5-year experience, ideally 7 years, in sales and business development role for an esports/sports/entertainment/event property or agency with a demonstrable track record of reaching or exceeding sales goals
  • Experience in developing and selling fully integrated sponsorship packages utilizing a variety of assets (i.e. IP rights, players’ image and access, content and social amplification, media assets, event-related initiatives, etc.) and the ability to educate/articulate the benefits of these offerings
  • Experience in developing and executing impactful sales plans and presentations (with tailor-made activation/campaign ideation for brands), proposals and associated contract negotiations
  • Proven international experience and strong network with brands and agencies
  • Robust knowledge of esports/sports business, and esports’ sponsorship landscape in particular
  • Solid internal drive and work ethic; a customer-service oriented approach, willingness to go above-and-beyond
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to collaborate, influence and build positive relationships within a multitude of business environments (internally and externally)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and efficiently lead and prioritize multiple projects
  • A passion for business development and an entrepreneurial mindset

Education

  • Graduate of business school with a focus on Business Development and/or Marketing.
  • MSc or equivalent preferred

Language

  • Perfect command in English
  • Fluency in French
  • Additional languages are a bonus but not a necessity.
