We are seeking for a talented Technical Support Specialist in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), based at our site in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (west of Paris). Partial remote work is possible. The position is ideal for a young scientist willing to transition from research to sales support activities.

MISSION :

  • Developing a good understanding of Takara Bio’s NGS portfolio to readily answer customer’s technical and scientific questions related to our products and customer’s projects and provide the best advice.

  • Answering pre-sales and post-sales technical questions emphasizing on the NGS portfolio by email/phone/live chat/videoconference.

  • Offering troubleshooting support to customers by email/phone/videoconference with support from R&D.

  • Filing relevant information in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

  • Providing technical trainings and refreshers to our sales representatives and channel partners on Takara Bio’s NGS portfolio or related products.

  • Keeping up with new product launches and staying informed about competing products and services.

  • Enrich bibliographic database with relevant scientific articles.


Profil recherché

  • PhD in Molecular Biology or related life science discipline

  • Validated Training in NGS (>2 years)

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on lab experience in cDNA library preparation and NGS (>2 years).

  • Ability to communicate effectively on complex technical and scientific topics.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are mandatory. Good level of French and/or German is a plus.

  • Effective prioritization of existing tasks and their efficient handling.

  • Service-minded, customer-focused, excellent support skills, including strong listening skills.

  • Highly organized, autonomous, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.

  • European work permit required.
