Manages the production of t he process design deliverables (design note and calculation notes; mass b alance; PID’s; process control philosophy) with r espect to the technical and contractual requirements of the project, and w ithin project schedule and budget. The Process Engineer is u sually appointed to the execution phase of a project and shall conduct the n ecessary process design studies to complete the basic and detailed design p hases of a project. Depending on the workload, the Process Engineer may also b e mobilized to support the Proposal Department for the definition and p roduction of the conceptual process design for a project tender. The P rocess Engineer is part of the project team, which is led by one Engineering M anager / Technical Coordinator (for execution phase) or by a Proposal Manager ( for tendering phase) KEY RESULTS AREA AND RESPONSIBILITIES For project e xecution: For a given p roject, the Process Engineer shall carry out the process deliverables for a w ater treatment plant (drinking water production; seawater desalination; w astewater treatment with associated sludge treatment, etc.). This includes in p articular: -The design note -Process calculation notes -PFDs and mass balances -P & I Ds and associated lists -Process Control Philosophy Depending on t he project, the Process Engineer may be involved in the hydraulic gradient l ine calculation, (either directly in charge of the production of the c alculation note or with the support of a hydraulic expert). The Process E ngineer is responsible for replying to comments by the Client or the Owner E ngineer related to the process deliverables submitted for approval. Depending on t he complexity of the process design, the Process Engineer will seek the s upport and/or the approval from the direct Line Manager, or from the Process E xperts of Suez Group. The Process Engineer will also be tasked to coordinate with t he relevant parties within the Group to obtain the required inputs to progress a nd/or validate the design works. The Process E ngineer may attend or conduct specific studies related to process design, such a s Hazop, availability study etc. according to contract requirements. The Process E ngineer manages the interfaces with the other engineering disciplines ( equipment, electricity, control, design office, etc.) for all matters related t o process design for the assigned project. For a given project, the Process Engineer shall carry out the process deliverables for a water treatment plant (drinking water production; seawater desalination; wastewater treatment with associated sludge treatment, etc.). This includes in particular:
- The design note
- Process calculation notes
- PFDs and mass balances
- P&IDs and associated lists
- Process Control Philosophy

Depending on the project, the Process Engineer may be involved in the hydraulic gradient line calculation, (either directly in charge of the production of the calculation note or with the support of a hydraulic expert).
The Process Engineer is responsible for replying to comments by the Client or the Owner Engineer related to the process deliverables submitted for approval.
Depending on the complexity of the process design, the Process Engineer will seek the support and/or the approval from the direct Line Manager, or from the Process Experts of Suez Group.
