Role summary

We need a Sales Engineer with both technical depth and commercial finesse. This person will serve as the subject-matter expert, providing offshore-specific technical expertise (e.g. PAM, Noise modeling, meta ocean data) and fisheries-specific technical expertise. They back up the BDM, AM and Bid team with credibility, turn customer input into clear solution designs, and ensure Operations receives a complete, realistic scope. This is a customer-facing technical role embedded in the commercial motion, not a back-office engineering role.

Core responsibilities

  • Bring subject-matter expertise and support the BDM with technical authority in workshops, demos, and solution design

  • Validate solution fit, data requirements, and integration dependencies. Identify risks and trade-offs early

  • Provide accurate technical input for pricing, proposals, and RFPs

  • Produce full technical documentation for handover to Operations (scope, diagrams, risks, dependencies)

  • Clarify what is feasible now vs what requires a roadmap or custom work

  • Feedback market and technical insights into Product, Ops, and GTM


Profil recherché

Key competencies (must-have)

  • Strong technical depth in Offshore/Fisheries operations.

  • Calm and confident in high-pressure or highly technical conversations. Builds trust.

  • Able to link multiple products/services into one coherent solution

  • Able to sanity-check pricing against technical scope and effort

Experience expectations

  • 5–8 years in technical presales, solution engineering, or implementation roles

  • Offshore, Fisheries, Maritime, Energy, Environmental Data, or Compliance background strongly preferred

  • Experienced in customer-facing technical discovery

  • Familiar with procurement, technical due diligence, and complex evaluations

  • Works well with Product and Operations to confirm feasibility and solution boundaries

  1. A short phone interview with Guillaume (Talent Acquisition Manager)

  2. One or two interviews with the Executive Team

  3. Potential technical assessment
