At ALDORIA, the Optical system team is responsible for the design and the fabrication of optical systems. Aldoria has a strategy of vertical integration and develops its own production systems. It includes the development of its own telescopes and cameras.

Key activities are:

1. Design of optical system

· Mechanical and optical design of system dedicated to the SSA network of Aldoria.

· Simulation of the mechanical and optical system in operational use.

1. Fabrication of prototypes

· Supplier management.

· Fabrication of optical system.

1. Qualification of optical system

· Design and fabrication of optical bench.

· Tests and characterization in Lab.

· Tests and characterization in operational environments.

We are looking for a motivated and curious engineering student to join our Optical system team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in mechanical design and simulation. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment.

The main mission of the internship will be to participate in the creation of a simulation environment for the validation of the mechanical structure of the telescopes made by Aldoria. He will study the mechanical behavior of the telescope on its mount and evaluate the figure of interest for the qualification of the telescope. If necessary, scripts (python is used in the team but other programming language can be used) will transform simulation results to enable a comparison with physical and optical variables of interest.

Technical Skills

· CAO Simulation software (SolidWorks, Simulia).

· Programming knowledge (Python) is not mandatory but could be very useful.
