Our platform brings all their media into one place and makes it effortless to find, edit and share in seconds.
Founded in 2021, we’re a 45-person team based between New York and Paris, growing 3x year over year with almost 100% retention. We’ve raised $20M+ from top investors including Alexis Ohanian and elite athletes like Kevin Durant, Raphaël Varane, Mario Götze, Nico Rosberg and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
If you’re passionate about sports and thrive in fast-paced environments - and you want to help shape how the next generation of fans experience sports, you’re in the right place. We’re on track to become the global leader in sports media, and this is definitely the best time to join our adventure.
ScorePlay is scaling fast, and we’re looking for a Finance Operations Manager to own the day-to-day finance engine of the company.
This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role where you’ll personally run billing, AR/AP, expenses, and the operational rhythms that keep the business clean and cash-safe. You’ll work closely with our external accountants and internal teams to build the foundations that will support the next stage of growth.
Important: the focus initially is finance operations, not FP&A. You won’t be spending your days building models or doing long-range planning right away.
This is a great fit if you want to own the core finance workflows end-to-end and grow into broader finance leadership as the company scales.
Billing, invoicing, AR/AP (core of the role) :
Own billing and invoicing end-to-end: setup, issuance, follow-ups, reconciliation.
Run accounts receivable and payable to keep collections and payments tight and predictable.
Maintain clean links between billing tools, bank movements, and accounting records.
Expenses and controls
Own expense management: policies, approvals, tools, reimbursements.
Document processes and help professionalize controls as we scale (simple, pragmatic, effective).
Accounting partner + month-end support
Be the day-to-day point of contact for our external accounting firm.
Support month-end close by ensuring data quality and providing the right operational inputs.
Help ensure compliance with local requirements (tax basics, accounting hygiene, audit-readiness).
Cash tracking and lightweight internal reporting
Track and share cash position, AR aging, and payment timelines.
Support cash forecasting by providing reliable operational inputs (not building a full FP&A function).
Maintain simple internal dashboards that help the team stay aligned.
Tools and process improvement
Own and improve our finance stack (billing, expenses, banking).
Support the selection and rollout of future tools / ERP as complexity increases.
Identify recurring issues, fix root causes, and make the machine smoother month after month.
Cross-functional finance operations
Partner closely with Rev Ops, People, and Legal on finance-related workflows.
Support a few light ops/admin topics tied to finance (vendors, insurance coordination, renewals).
Here are a few signs you might love working at ScorePlay:
You want a role with real ownership where execution quality matters every day.
You like building the foundations of a fast-scaling company, not just maintaining an existing machine.
You’re excited by a path where you can grow into broader finance scope over 3–5 years, based on impact and readiness.
You enjoy being close to the business: Sales/Rev Ops, People, Legal, leadership, and external partners.
You want to join an international sports tech scale-up working with top clubs, leagues, and competitions globally.
2–4 years of experience in finance ops, accounting, audit, or a startup finance role.
Proven ability to be hands-on: you’re comfortable personally running billing, AR/AP, and expenses.
Experience working with finance tools (billing, expense, accounting systems) and keeping data clean across them.
Experience working with external accountants and/or auditors.
Strong execution mindset: reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive about fixing what’s broken.
Structured and organized, with good judgment and a “no drama, just handle it” approach.
Motivated to grow into broader finance responsibility over time (without expecting it on day one).
Nice to have :
Startup / scale-up exposure, or familiarity with SaaS recurring revenue mechanics.
We know many people hesitate to apply if they don’t meet every single requirement on a job description. If you’re interested in ScorePlay but not sure you tick all the boxes, we’d still love to hear from you, this could be the start of a great long-term collaboration.
We’re also committed to building a diverse, inclusive team where everyone feels safe and respected. ScorePlay is an equal opportunity employer: we welcome applications regardless of gender, sexual orientation, origin, disability, or any other aspect of what makes you, you. Different perspectives make us stronger, and a much more fun team to work with.
